Gas has dropped here to I paid 3.67 today.. Not bad lol I cant believe Im saying that.. Ha

Janet 08-09-2008 03:26 AM

Really!! It was down to that here. Well, I checked online and it was down to $3.67

Emmsmom 08-10-2008 05:49 AM

It was $3.64 here yesterday. What makes me so mad was that as the cost of oil was going up so was the gas EVERY day. It sure is taking it's sweet time coming down.

Janet 08-10-2008 07:23 AM

Wouldn't it be nice if the price came down as fast as it went up. I don't know where to go ahead and fill up or keep waiting for it to go down even more.

Lindsey 09-12-2008 02:06 PM

Gas here spiked 13 cents per litre OVERNIGHT, to $1.45/L.... converts to $5.52/gal from $4.99/gal just yesterday
Glad I just filled up last week.

Janet 09-12-2008 03:44 PM

Saw on tonights news that some places here in the states went up over $5.00 too. Totally ridiculous...something should be done about price gouging...is that how you spell it???..lol

gja1000 09-12-2008 05:18 PM

Yep, it is price gouging and I wish someone would do something about it. Prices went up about twenty five cents today. Yes, the refineries around Houston may sustain some damage, but it hasn't happened yet, so the prices should not be rising today!!!

Lindsey 09-12-2008 05:38 PM

Yeah they talked about this a couple months ago on the radio... If there is even the THREAT of oil prices going up, our prices are raised immediately. But then, if the price goes down, our gas prices still stay high because that gas was bought by the while it was high. Well when the threat is there, it doesn't change that they still bought that gas at a cheaper price. It just doesn't work both ways.
I also don't quite understand how this works with Canada... I live in oil country, and yet the storms down south still affect prices up here. It somehow works like we export it to the US and then buy it back for a lot more money. I'm not exactly sure why, I really know nothing about oil and gas! I should look into it

Gina 09-12-2008 07:28 PM

Gas dropped by me I paid $3.47 a gallon this morning.

Shada 09-12-2008 07:39 PM

Tonight there were lines out to the streets at all gas stations in town.

Prices started at $3..99 a gallon for reg. Everybody was talking about gas rising up to and exceeding $5.00... neighboring towns it had already started.

I joined the crowd and filled up although I had a half a tank.
Then I went and visited my mom for a couple hours.

Left her house, driving home with thankfully a full tank and prices were then at $5.19...

Janet 09-13-2008 03:36 AM

Here in our county in Indiana so far the lowest is $3.85 and the highest is $3.99

Tink 09-13-2008 08:20 AM

We were in Minnesota yesterday and filled our tank when we saw unleaded was $3.59.9!
Here it's $3.77.9 so that's a nice difference!

Janet 09-13-2008 08:35 AM

That is a nice difference Tink. I never used to watch the price of gas, but the way it fluctuates now...I watch it very carefully.

2tiredmom 09-13-2008 08:54 AM

It's 3.99 to 4.09 here today. Who knows what it will be like tomorrow. Or next week.

Marilyn 09-13-2008 09:16 AM

It's against the law for them to price gouge due to the hurricane. They are requesting that you document the purchase and take pictures of the station and report it. I'm not sure who to. You may be able to google and find out.

Lindsey 09-18-2008 07:40 AM

WOOHOO gas has dropped twice since last Friday when it went up like crazy... it went from 1.45/L to 1.35/L and now 1.29/L!!!
And yes, now I will convert :p ... $4.88/gal... It hasn't been this low since spring!!! My car is still half full but I have a sudden urge to go fill up lol

DianaB 09-18-2008 07:53 AM

It's true that they can't price gouge. We had an incident of that on 9/11 and the person who owned the gas station had to refund the money back to those who had filled up or they would have been in BIG trouble. I don't know who you turn them in to either but you could do some checking with the Better Business Bureau.

Tiramisu 10-28-2008 05:15 AM

Yeah, gas prices are coming down. We got all the gas card bills in from the Hurricane and it costed us about $600 to run the generator for 13 days and we still got a $70 electric bill. I hope the prices stay down.

2tiredmom 10-28-2008 05:18 AM

Gas prices in Northeast Indiana are down to $2.39. I doubt it will last long.

Tiramisu 11-06-2008 12:13 PM

I paid $2.12 yesterday for regular. I kept pushing the lever trying to get more in because I was watching the total price, not the gallons. I haven't been driving a lot and was used to the total being around $60, not $30.

goofywife 11-06-2008 12:19 PM

I paid $1.89 last time I filled up.

Wow that's great price for now. It's still above $2.00 here. 2.07 to be exact.

Janet 11-06-2008 02:50 PM

Our lowest is $1.94 here. Just can't believe the total when I've filled up. Neither can Ricky. He really loves it too.

DianaB 11-07-2008 02:54 PM

I filled up today and paid $2.19. I didn't realize that it had gone down so much!!! It's ridiculous that it ever got so high!!!

Tiramisu 11-07-2008 05:08 PM

We just saw it at Citgo for $1.97 down the road from us.

Janet 11-08-2008 05:50 AM

We have a couple 50 gallon gas cans that hubby is trying to fill up when possible. Hopefully prices will stay low for a little while, but when they go back up, we'll have some to use.
