Mandy you are cracking me up!! now Im singing that freaking song...:yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:

Tink 11-13-2007 12:14 PM

It's sunny, 55 degrees, and mid November in Wisconsin! That's amazing in itself.

My 19 yr old dd has been sick the past 2 days with her wisdom teeth coming in and an ovarian cyst acting up again, but is looking far better today so that's another positive.

I won an auction at Ebay on a brand new power convertor/invertor for DH for Christmas. It retails for $349 and with shipping included I got it for $127... so that's a Big savings! It will allow him to hook it up in his semi so he can power a tv, coffeemaker, microwave, etc. I figure as much time as he spends in the truck he should have a few more comforts of home. It should arrive today or tomorrow so I can get it hid before he gets home. :) My puppy money is coming in handy for Christmas shopping!

My oldest granddaughter is in second grade. She's got grandparents day coming up on Friday at school, so has invited me to come spend the night Thursday night and go to school with her on Friday.

Have fun!!!

My positive: I'm finally getting around to doing some work that I've procrastinated...

highlans 11-14-2007 08:48 AM

Thanks Judy was trying to look for this, oh has taken me back a few years to think I used to swoon over this guy:o

judy 11-14-2007 08:54 AM

Everyone's positives are so nice!

Mine is that my daughter has been calling, my granddaughter, Mackenzie, called me twice. The baby, Kassidy, keeps getting on the phone with her little 5 year old voice saying "I love you Grandma Judy." It just is so good. Brandon, who is 6, and all boy, can't be bothered, but keeps yelling "I love you," so I can hear him.

I ordered 3 platters of side dishes to be delivered on Tuesday. I have to go to Toys R Us for their presents as soon as I find out what Brandon wants. What a waste of money! They have more toys than they'll ever need. But, that's for another thread.

I'm going up on Wednesday and leaving on Friday. Short and sweet.

I'm going to give my daughter a check for a house warming gift.

I still can't believe it!

Her husband got on the phone for a minute to talk to her. I said Hi to him. His response was less than warm, but I have to expect that and not react.

I'm really praying that it goes smoothly.

AngieDoogles 11-14-2007 08:58 AM

I'm so excited for you Judy! I'm sorry he wasn't very warm to you, but at least you get to hear those sweet little grandbabies tell you how much they love you and you get to have a relationship with your daughter. I'd say it's worth it to just bite your tongue and ignore him...He's the one missing out by being mean to you!

Mandy 11-14-2007 10:11 AM

I'm very excited for you Judy, remember, it's NOT about him, it's about your own babies, he is just "the spare wheel" and it's not your duty to go out of your way for him, he is way younger, and needs to bring up respect for you.

katepoet 11-14-2007 10:26 AM

Sounds like you have got dealing with it down pat, Judy. Keep on keeping it even keeled with him and have a fabulous time! Know you will :)

Yup for sure!!

Have fun Judy!!

Janet 11-14-2007 10:43 AM

My positive for today is they are FINALLY going to run some test on my mom to see where she may be bleeding.

katepoet 11-14-2007 10:43 AM

Here's a positive - someone canceled a session today so I have time to get other things caught up! (I need a secretary!!!!!)

Tink 11-14-2007 11:03 AM

Greg and I have made reservations to go to his company Christmas party for the first time in many years. They're having a banquet, driver awards, a dance, and we're all staying in the hotel at a casino. Having never been in a casino before, we're rather looking forward to it.
We never go anywhere... have never taken a vacation... so for us this is quite an event! LOL

katepoet 11-14-2007 11:06 AM

And all those young people stay and take care of your animals so the two of you go by yourselves? Amazing! Congratulations, Tink! You deserve a break!

AngieDoogles 11-14-2007 01:56 PM

I just signed up for my classes and I got the exact schedule I wanted!!! WOOT!

How romantic Tink! He sounds like a great guy and we know you're wonderful.
A good marriage is a blessing! I hope you have the time of your life!

I also love the Christmas gifts you're giving him. They're so thoughtful.

Prayers dear Janet! I hope the tests are not painful.

judy 11-14-2007 04:23 PM

I will do my best to just smile and pay him no mind! I got what I wanted. I am nervous though because if he gets mad enough and tell her to make me leave, I don't know how strong she is.

I don't care what he says, I just hope and pray that she doesn't. I don't think she'll do that to the children though. It seems to be very important to her that they have me in their lives.

Anyway, thanks for the advice - it's very true!

katepoet 11-14-2007 08:19 PM

Compared to my students here, you got lucky, Angie. Couldn't have happened to a nicer gal!

AngieDoogles 11-15-2007 06:01 AM

It's Thursday!! (aka my Friday) :D

rivermom 11-15-2007 06:16 AM

Positive = Get to hug my son today. :ittysmooch: (Those of you who get to hug your children daily, enjoy it....I don't get to do it very often so I'm gonna hug him out!!) :p

Enjoy your time girl, i know you will have a blast! Hug him to pieces ;) and hugs from me!!

judy 11-15-2007 09:08 AM

That's so nice Sheryl! Hug away!

My positive is that my dogs are laying nicely together on the couch near me - the jealousy is passing slowly. Now she gets jealous if I kiss him (she's at that 5 month puppy stage). I love having two.

I'm also going to the dentist, which is a good thing because it brings me closer to finishing.

Oh...and I got a check for $360.00 unexpectedly for some medical bills last week and one for $115.00 yesterday because I seem to have overpaid a bill ?????? I did?
Whatever. Thanksgiving is now paid for!

I also got quite a few really nicely priced condo listings located in a lovely little town,
Hyde Park.

And, last but not least, at least they found out what's wrong with Janet's Mom.
