I'm also going to the dentist, which is a good thing because it brings me closer to finishing.

Oh...and I got a check for $360.00 unexpectedly for some medical bills last week and one for $115.00 yesterday because I seem to have overpaid a bill ?????? I did?
Whatever. Thanksgiving is now paid for!

I also got quite a few really nicely priced condo listings located in a lovely little town,
Hyde Park.

And, last but not least, at least they found out what's wrong with Janet's Mom.

Congrats Judy! That's all really exciting!!! :)

Since my Mom and oldest daughter and her family live in the same town just over an hr away,
I'm taking my Mom out to eat tonight then spending the night at her place.
In the morning she and I will go to my granddaughters school for grandparents day.
So I'll get to see 3 generations of my family in the next 24 hrs. :)

On my way back home I will stop in the city and do a little shopping.

Tink,

Enjoy every minute of your wonderful family (and shop till you drop!).

DianaB 11-15-2007 02:54 PM

Sheryl... There's nothing more special than hugs from our little grandchildren, so hug away on him!!!!!!

Judy... Yeah!!!! Getting money back is like a gift that you didn't know was coming!!! That's great news!!!!\

Tink...I hope that you had a great day at Grandparents Day! Any time I do something at the grade school where my grandchildren are they always like to "show" me off. It makes both of us feel good. What a special day to see so many of your family!!!

Almost done with my Child Welfare paper! Only 2 pages to go!!

judy 11-19-2007 11:16 AM

Today's positive is that I finally had time to come onto 4WT.

I also found a great website SlickDeals.net and ordered an ab exerciser chair for
$33.00. Even if I don't do the exercises, it looks like a really comfy TV chair.

I bid on 3 different HDTV's on e-Bay, none of which I'll win, but some day....

I'm going to get up and do the packing, bathe Max, and whatever other preparation
for my trip Wednesday. Aaaaaaannnnyyyy minute now, I'm going to get started.
I really mean it! Well, soon. anyway.

Janet 11-19-2007 11:23 AM

I haven't been very faithful to this thread...so here goes..

One of my positives is my Mom is feeling really good today (thanks Judy for your earlier post).

I had the time to sit and plan out what days I need to do what, to get ready for Thanksgiving.

Another positive is the feeling I got when I ready these posts today. What a great bunch of ladies there are on this site.

DianaB 11-19-2007 11:35 AM

My positive for today is that I finally got a good nights sleep and I think that I'm about over my cold!!!! Yeah!!!!!

katepoet 11-19-2007 01:43 PM

Busy ladies!! Glad you feel better, Diana! Take your elderberry to keep those bugs away. (Obviously, if I swore, I'd swear by it, but since I don't, I just highly recommend it!)

I am working away and so glad for this 10 minute break visiting all of you. My hands were too swollen to type a little while ago but they have calmed down so here I go!

Mandy 11-20-2007 01:31 PM

My positive for today.

I spoke with my son's Godfather today, he still lives on the other side of the world, he is the sweetest, most kindhearted man ever. We have not seen him in 15 years, but he said he is coming over in june/july of next year.

Yesterday i spoke with hes Godmom, and told her about this site, hopefully she will join soon. :) :)

Janet 11-20-2007 02:12 PM

My positive for today:

My bus kids were really good and are happily anticipating Thanksgiving AND
I had Oprah on and just got to listen to Josh Groban sing Silent Night....my what a voice he has.

Tink 11-20-2007 03:28 PM

My positive today has got to be the fantastic level of caring and support I've gotten from friends today about my daughters news.It helps a lot to not feel as if I'm wading in these murky waters all alone.

It's also helped that Katie herself took several steps today to get to a dr, arrange for pregnancy counseling, called and told her dad what's going on, and got good support and information from her own friends who have been in her shoes.

I always try to value my friends, but they're never more appreciated than when I truly need them and they're here for me.

Tink, that's what this forum is all about.....friends helping friends. I'm glad that we've been able to reach out and help you during this time. You're not alone with how you feel. Some of us have been where you're at or where your daughter's at. You know that we're still here if you need us!!

katepoet 11-20-2007 04:31 PM

You have given your daughter the tools she needs to be an adult and she is rising to the challenge. I wouldn't have expected any less from a daughter of yours, Tink.

This is great Mandy!!!! 15 years is such a long time, wow!

Forgivenmom5 11-20-2007 07:51 PM

I had my third chemo today. I have one Dec. 11 and that will be the last really strong one. I will see the surgeon after that to see if the surgery is possible then but that is not likely. At least then the other 4 chemo's will be a lot lighter so not as much nausea and fatigue. My levels are still up so they haven't dropped during either one of my treatments. God is good.:)

katepoet 11-20-2007 11:31 PM

Congratulations on reaching that hurdle - I hope the rest of the chemo is easier to handle as they promise! :)

Janet 11-21-2007 05:13 AM

My positive today is: I woke up feeling energized and ready to start baking and getting more done for our meal on Thursday.

You're right Debbie, God is good and we have all been sending him our prayers for your recovery. He loves you and so do we.

Gina 11-21-2007 05:23 AM

Debbie God is good and I am so happy to hear about your results, willl keep praying for you girlfriend. :)

Debbie, it sounds like your treatment is going very well! Yes, God is good........All the time!!!!

AngieDoogles 11-21-2007 03:11 PM

I have a couple of positives today. First, as Mom already mentioned, I am super excited that she only has one more "tough" chemo treatment. We are really hoping the next set is easier on her.

My other positive, is that I just got back from an interview with a PCIT specialist. My paper is SO close to being finished!! :)

AngieDoogles 11-24-2007 09:14 PM

I finished my paper tonight and a very sweet YT'er gave me some feedback. :) I'm feeling great now that that's done!!!!!!

katepoet 11-24-2007 11:00 PM

Way to go, Angie! You worked so hard - glad you can enjoy the results. Will we get to read it sometime?

Janet 11-25-2007 05:10 AM

Congratulations for getting your paper done Angie.

My positive for today is: My leftovers from Thanksgiving are gone now and I can go back to eating a little lighter......until Christmas!

Tink 11-25-2007 12:04 PM

AngieDoogles 11-25-2007 05:12 PM

AngieDoogles 11-25-2007 05:13 PM

My positive: Brendon's dad was rushed to the ER today. (No that isn't the positive!) He seems to be doing much better now than he was earlier so we are thankful. That's the positive. :)

katepoet 11-25-2007 08:02 PM

Glad you had good news to share with the bad, Angie. Hope he continues to do better.

Angie, I'm glad to hear that your father-in-law is doing alright. It seems like your family has sure had it's ups and downs lately. It's a good thing that you're not going through all of this alone. God is always with you!

Mandy 11-26-2007 12:34 AM

I'm glad your father inlaw is alright Angie, hope he continues to get better, my prayers are with him.

judy 11-26-2007 10:20 AM

My positive today is that I'm back online - I lost my internet connection yesterday -
and I got to read all of your positives since I've been away.

Debbie,
I'm going to light your candle. Hope the chemo goes well.

Mandy 11-26-2007 11:49 AM

It's nice to have you back Judy, ive been wondering about you, and how your Thankgiving was, i certainly hope you had a blast!

katepoet 11-26-2007 12:45 PM

Hi Judy - nice to see you back online.

My positive is that my nephew is in a play in NY on the 15th and 16th! It's so exciting to see his career as an actor and director growing. You can see him on www.imdb.com, just search for Alexis Savino.

Janet 11-26-2007 01:56 PM

Angie, I hope your father-in-law continues to improve.

My positive for today is I didn't do anything but play with the doggies and brush and comb them. It was a bonding day...lol

Tink 11-26-2007 02:13 PM

My positive today is that I've had a few hours all to myself, which rarely happens.

rivermom 11-26-2007 03:08 PM

I'm thinking my positive for today is reading all of your positives...:p
