Yes, they were born during the day...but I'd been up with her since 11:00 PM the night before. I knew she was in stage 1 labor and all she wanted to do was walk the hallway, back and forth every 15-20 minutes. So I didn't get much sleep at all.

I tried find a sub for the bus, but we only had a couple and they couldn't drive. So, I kept Ricky home from school and he played mid-wife. I left at 4 minutes till 7 AM and the first one was born at 7:01 AM. I was only gone 90 minutes so I got to see the last two be born. His Dad was here, but he didn't have a clue, because he didn't see any of the other litters born. I'm so happy and proud Ricky paid attention and had the confidence to stay and help Gidget.

Oh, my, I hadn't thought that you might have been up all night with her. So glad that Ricky could help!! This is why I could never breed. I'd have to leave for work just as the excitement starts.

They are so beautiful.... and 4 little girls. How precious.

I figured that you had found a sub for your bus route but it sounds like Ricky did a good job keeping an eye on Gidget until you got back home. I'm so glad that everything went so well!!!

Thanks all. I am so proud of him. His dad kept asking him..."should we cut the cord" and Ricky said "dad, we need to give her a chance, mom had to do it all last time." So my son did good!!! She did do the cords herself, but by the time I got home, she was exhausted and let me do the last two. It really seemded like she was grateful, bless her heart. She's being a great Mom.

Oh, they're cute as buttons, I love puppies, well who doesn't? Congrats for a job well done Gidget.
