I see that you, Betsi has the Timeline on FB. Do any other here have it? I have a couple other friends that have it and I'm just not sure I like it. I heard that if you switch over to the Timeline you can't switch back, but if you stay with what we have, it will stay that way.

Betsi....what do you think of it? Right now I like being able to go right down the list on my wall to see what everyone is up to, doesn't look like it's as accessible on the Timeline. Also saw where you need to check all your privacy settings and get rid of anything you don't want on there permanently.

So...what does everything think of the new Timeline and are you going to switch?

I know if you switch you can't go back. But I also read that eventually everyone's will be switch to that.

I have not switched to Timeline and I think I will just leave it until it switches for me. I am not sure what I think about it, because I don't have it, but I really don't see why it's necessary! I don't need to relive what I was doing and who I was dating 5 or 6 years ago!

It was weird enough a few months ago when my second-cousin who I don't know that well must have been browsing through my photos and found some pictures of me and my ex, Kyle. She commented something like "Hey I know him!! Isn't that Kyle?? He's my buddy from work!!" What do I say to that? Yeah, I dated him for a year and a half, it ended badly, but I just got engaged to someone else? Soooo awkward! I didn't comment back at all. I have a feeling timeline will just bring up more awkardness!

That's why the news is saying now's the time to get rid of anything you don't want on there because once the switchover...it can't be deleted.

I Don't know if I like it or not. Just took a tour of it this morning. It looks good but I still don't know about it. My kids have switched. This old person doesn't like change but i guess i better get use to it. Thats what life is all about i reckon is Change. lol

So true Linda. I'm not big on change either especially when it's working so well..lol I do like the looks of the Timeline, but it also seems a bit unorganized for me to see what everyone is doing.

You can try it for awhile before the switch is permanent. I forgot the date, but if you put Timeline in your search bar, it will tell you all about it. It's easy to delete anything you don't want on there. I try to remember that Facebook is a fishbowl, and I dont post anything that I dont want the world to see, lol!

Tomorrow??? I haven't seen that!

Now I have heard it will change on Jan. 4th.

Guess I need to go check and see...I really don't think I'm going to like it, but I think it's just the 'change'. I like things to stay the same when it comes to this kind of stuff. Just when I get fairly confident in what I'm doing....they change it...LOLOL :D

I just looked at Abigail's page and she has the timeline, it looks pretty strange, but I suppose I will get used to it.

I haven't hardly been on FB and didn't know anything about it. I guess I'll have to check it out.

I think I'll just wait until I have to change.

Diana.....you do realize you have been neglecting us don't you? I miss you when you're not on here. I'm glad you had a nice Christmas with still more to come. I would love to have a big family (that cared about each other) to share in the holidays the way your family does.

Janet, I'm going to just wait also. I keep looking at Abigail's timeline to figure out what it is all about and I guess it will be OK.

I like the way it looks, but I'm having a hard time following it. I like that mow when the page comes up I can see everyone's posts, I'm not sure how to do that with Timeline.

I think I'm just going with the flow on this change. I still don't understand the last change. I have a column on the right side now with updates on some people and then the regular stuff from other people on the main part????

I think I will just decide who I want to keep up with on fb, and then figure out how to do that. I certainly don't care about timelines.

Truth is, it's getting a little boring on fb with all of the changes. I find myself liking things just to be polite.

FB still hasn't made me change to the Timeline yet. I'm just going to keep waiting...lol...you know I'm not real big on change.

I've seen a couple who have the Timeline and I'm not impressed. I don't understand why they don't just leave it alone!!!

I haven't changed my timeline yet either and I don't plan to until I am forced to. :p

We all must not like change very much....think it's our age? Surely not!!

I'm trying to decide if I should go ahead and change over and have it set up or wait and be blindsided.

I'm going to just wait until they MAKE me change!!! Personally I'd prefer that they went back to how it was when I first joined. It was so simple and easy to get around!! Can you tell that I'm not crazy about change either?

I think I read somewhere where it changes in the next few days. I like it! It's easy to look at and if there is something on there that you don't want, just delete it. It's really easy:)

If I can sit longer at the computer without pain, I may go ahead and change too. Maybe...lol

Janet, it's not good for you to sit for very long at the computer. Think of your head as a bowling ball (head) on a stick (vertebrea in your neck). When you sit for long periods and look at the computer, especially when you are leaning your head forward looking down, that bowling ball puts lots of strain on that stick. After a while the stick can bend so much it becomes damaged. In your case the cushions between the vertebrae bones are pushing out and are touching a nerve or allowing the bone to touch a nerve. You want to keep all the strain off that stick right now.

Lol! I know that sounds dumb, but it is true. So it's probably not a good idea to be on the computer for very long. Unless that is, you have a set-up like Gary's. He has his computer hooked up to a 32 inch TV. He has a Lazy Boy rocker in front of the TV and a lap tray foe his keyboard, so he can be on the computer and lean his head back on the recliner headrest which keeps the pressure off his neck. Gary has the exact same issue as you but he is lucky that the injections help him because with all his health problems, they do NOT want to do surgery on him.

Janet, you cannot sit at the computer! Gayle, as always, is right. My chiro was really tough on me for that! You have the ipad. Can you use it on a recliner likie Gary?

I never lay down without something under my neck. A rolled up towel will do. I found handmade bean bags here that can be microwaved. It makes such a difference it is amazing! It takes the pressure off of your neck, no matter how soft your pillow is. I also have a chiro flow pillow, which uses water to conform to your head and neck and shoulders. It is so good!
