Here are some pictures of my son Michael dancing in the kitchen with Raelyn. They did it almost every day while Rachel cooked dinner. He sings to her while they dance:) He is an amazing father, husband, and son!

... and 4 more because the Louvre is so cool! The last 3 are of Napoleon's apartment on the 4th floor. It was something to see!
Are these enough, Janet:p ??

DianaB 05-07-2012 10:43 AM

Amazing!!!! What a wonderful tour you had of Paris!!! I love looking at the buildings!! And the ceilings......WOW!! Napoleon's apartment looks so beautiful!!! I'm sure the pictures don't compare to actually being there......but still how awesome!!! I hope that it works out that you can go back again!!!

RaeLynn has grown so much!! It seems like a short time ago we were waiting for her to be born!! Your son is handsome......how wonderful that he dances with his daughter! The picture of you and Mike is a really good one of the both of you!!

Sorry you caught a cold or something on the way home.......but I'm glad that you're better!!

Janet 05-07-2012 01:56 PM

Oh my gosh Betsi....I am just in awe. Everything is sooooo beautiful!!! I love the pictures of your son dancing with Raelynn. Can't believe she has grown so much already!!! What a great trip you all had...amazing. I love the pictures of you and Mike too. You have such a beautiful family.

My niece is in London and has been posting pictures of her trip there. I feel like I'm traveling with you all...just wish I really was.

judy 05-08-2012 08:26 AM

Oh my, Betsi!

What beautiful pictures, and what a wonderful trip you had! The family is wonderful, and the pix of Raelyn dancing with Daddy are WOW!

Paris is beautiful! I think I'm going to do my dining area just like Napolean's!
Notre Dame is breathtaking, especially the Pieta! I remember waiting on line to see it, and it brought me to tears. Then it was in the US for something, and there were tears again!

I am so happy for you and Mike!

Lindsey 05-08-2012 10:11 AM

Great pictures Betsi!!! I wish I could go back! I loved Notre Dame as well! I did not get a chance to go to the Louvre though!

Did you pick up any French while you were there? :)

gja1000 05-08-2012 10:42 AM

Betsi, the pictures are just too beautiful for words! I so hope I get ton see those places sometime!

Blueyes 05-08-2012 06:13 PM

I did pick up a few words, and I also found out a couple of things that I thought were pretty funny. French people really do kiss on each cheek.. on the cheek if they are close friends, air beside the cheeks if they are acquaintances. Also, they really do say OooLala! All of the time, lol, and if they are really excited its "OoooLalalalalalalala!"

How do your kids like it there? Have they got their church yet? Gary has a cousin who works as a missionary in Albertville France. She used to be a wild one, but found religion a few years ago and became a missionary. Gary and I laugh that she just does it so she can live in France.

Betsi those are fabulous pics. I am so jealous, I have never been to Paris or any part of Europe. The pictures look straight out of my art class.

What a great vacation, and you have such a beautiful family.

That's a good question......How DO your kids like it there? I would think that it would be like living in a dream!! So wonderful!! And so many places to see and thngs to do!!

Blueyes 05-09-2012 10:55 AM

They do like it there. For the next year they will still be in Language school. It's a hard language to learn. They won't get a church like we think about over here. They will start out with a small group at their house, which grows to a large group that somebody else takes over and branches out with. It's called Church Planting. The Baptist Missionary Association, which Michael works for, has a church building in central France. When Michael finishes language school, they will probably move closer to that town and work from there.

DianaB 05-09-2012 11:29 AM

That's awesome!! I'm sure you're a proud Mama with your son in the ministry as a missionary!!!

judy 05-09-2012 01:22 PM

That's an important job, Betsi! Who are the people he is bringing into the church?

Blueyes 05-09-2012 02:37 PM

Judy, it's just people that he meets and talks to in his everyday life. Bus, grocery store, friends from the kids school, etc. I am very proud of him, I just wish his calling didn't take him so far away:o

DianaB 05-09-2012 07:25 PM

I think that's every mother's fear when their kids finally leave home. At least you have the finances to go and visit them!! Glen would have a hard time keeping me home if my kids lived far away!!!

Blueyes 05-11-2012 06:49 PM

I know Diana. I am very thankful I can afford to go see them, because if I couldn't, I would probably just charge up a credit card and go anyway:rolleyes: But it does limit my spending on other things, like Mike needs a new vehicle, I want new flooring, etc. I'm really not a big spender at all. It's always in the back of my mind that I need to save money to go to Seattle and France:o

judy 05-12-2012 07:46 AM

That's how it always is, Betsi. Even though Jessie and the kids live right here, I don't spend so much just in case something happens.

I wonder what it would be like to be really wealthy! A bit more free, and less worry about what to do when things do happen, I guess. It's actually not one of my goals though. I pretty much have everything, except a wonderful man in my life.

Janet 05-12-2012 04:06 PM

I'd definitely give you my man if you'd help me get more money...lol

gja1000 05-12-2012 05:54 PM

Lol! Janet you are a card!

DianaB 05-16-2012 06:21 AM

Oh Janet!!! :sidesplit:

Janet 05-18-2012 01:06 PM

Betsi...do you have more pictures or can you tell us more about Paris? About the people? Your pictures are just beautiful!
