It's Time to be Worried!!

I had a scrapbook party at my home today and had a few friends over. My daughter (#1) and a friend were here for quite a bit earlier before the others showed up. My daughter, if you remember is the one who is pregnant, and I've been worried about. She came out of the bathroom and quietly said that she was spotting. After a little while it had stopped, but this is how all 3 of her miscarriages have started. I'm really worried, as I said before, she hemoraged (sp?) really bad the last time and was in the hospital several days and she took the miscarriage really hard. Please, please, please, pray for her and the baby. We are really believing that everything is going to be alright. It's really hard to be a Mom and watch your family go through hard times like this and we appreciate all of your prayers. Thanks guys!!!

I'm so sorry to hear this Diana. How far along is she? I know it is almost impossible giving the history she has had but she needs to try & stress as little as possible. It is the worst thing for someone proned to miscarriage. I have been through this myself but was never more than 3 months along. My thoughts are with you, your daughter & family.

Mandy 03-21-2007 12:55 AM

Sorry to hear that Diana, lets hope all turns out ok this time! It is hard to see your family go thru hard times.
My thoughts & prayers are with you all. Try to stay positive, and please keep us posted.

Janet 03-21-2007 02:16 AM

Oh Diana!! I am sending prayers right this minute. Make sure she talks with her Dr. and to take it easy. Maybe she needs to stay off her feet for a few days. Hope everything works out for her and that the baby is safe.

Yes I agree with Janet let her get bed rest.. Your daughter is in in my prayers always...

Tink 03-21-2007 08:50 AM

{{{Diana}}} My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

DianaB 03-21-2007 09:00 AM

I haven't talked to her this morning because when she's having trouble she wants to be left alone. She's 10 weeks along, the same as she was with the last pregnancy. She won't call the doctor because she's been through this before and there's nothing that they can do. I know that bleeding doesn't always mean that there will be a miscarriage because I did that with my last daughter but it's not a good sign. She's been through so much with losing 3 already that it just breaks my heart. I know how she feels because I've had one miscarriage, but not 3. I'll keep you posted when I know anything.

Please keep her in your prayers. Her name is Amy. Thanks so much!

I am really sorry for the worry you must be going through w/ your daugher. I am sending all my angels w/ prayers your way.

Please keep us posted.

DianaB 03-21-2007 04:34 PM

I talked to her earlier today and she was taking it easy. She had spotted some more before she went to bed last night but for now it's stopped. It's so hard not to worry.:(

That's a good thing about her spotting has stopped. Tonight she can rest and hopefully tomorrow everything will be ok.

Yes, I know it's hard not to worry. Place your worry in the angels hands Diana and rest your heart.

Thanks for keeping us posted.

AngieDoogles 03-21-2007 06:58 PM

I had 2 miscarriages after my first child. I was told I would never be able to carry another child. I went back for my 6 week check up after the 2nd miscarriage to find out I was pg again. I laid on the couch depressed thinking I would lose another child for a month. at 4 months I finally started coming out of the depression. Today that daughter is 11 yrs old & very healthy. I also have 2 more that followed her. I know how scary it is. I've been there. But assure her & to let you know, that history & what doctors say about your chances of carrying mean nothing my last 3 kids are proof. My thoughts are with you both.

Tink 03-22-2007 09:33 AM

Well said Traci!

My oldest daughter had a terrible time with ovarian cysts and was told as a result, would likely have a lot of trouble concieving. She got pregnant right away, then miscarried. The dr told her it might have been a fluke and not to count on having babies. She now has 2 perfectly healthy daughters and proved the drs wrong.

They have to avoid giving false hope, but medicine is not an exact science, so they really don't know it all. God has plans of his own and even drs can't know what they are.

I'm still praying things turn out well for your daughter Diana.

DianaB 03-22-2007 09:47 AM

I don't understand why she's had so many miscarriages. She had one when she was first married and then she had two beautiful daughters. The oldest is 10 (born on my birthday!) and the youngest is 7. They would love to have a little boy to round out their family. In the past 2 or 3 years she's had a couple more miscarriages. She gets to about 10 weeks or so and that's when her trouble starts. The last one she hemmoraged so badly that they put her in the hospital. I was really worried about her then.

She's a wonderful mother and spends a lot of time doing things with her girls and another little one would be so very welcome. I haven't talked to her today but please keep her in your prayers in the days ahead because the bleeding could start again after a few days. I'm really claiming in my prayers that she and the baby will both be healthy. Thanks guys for your support and prayers.

Doctors could never give me an answer as to why it happened either. Even Angie doesn't know this but I've had 5 miscarriages altogether (all at around 8-10 weeks) & my 4 beautiful children. I think other than the loss not knowing why or how to keep it from happen again & the fear each time of will it happen this time are the worst. It's so much to go through. Her resting is the best thing she can do right now & try to read or something she enjoys to try to keep her mind off of the fear.

AngieDoogles 04-05-2007 10:36 PM

Diana, I just wanted to let you know that I was thinking about you and your daughter today. I hope everything is going well.

Janet 04-06-2007 03:37 AM

Haven't seen any updates recently, I'm praying everything is alright .

Passionfruition 04-06-2007 04:02 AM

Oh wow, I hope everything is ok. Miscarriages are so hard...I've seen with a few friends in the past year or so go through them and it's so emotional and physically wrenching. I will pray everything goes smoothly this time! I can imagine how it would be hard for you - you are such a caring mom. I hope my Mom will be just as supportive and by my side when I get pregnant (one day, not soon) as you are to your daughter!

DianaB 04-06-2007 05:42 AM

Thanks for asking. I appreciate your concern. I had a talk with my daughter a couple of days ago and she said that she was still spotting off and on. I've been praying so hard for her and I felt that the Lord really told me that she was going to have this baby so I'm really hanging on to that, but with her still spotting it's getting harder to believe. She's been pretty depressed but seems to be a little happier than she was.

She had a doctor's appointment last Friday and was hoping to hear a heartbeat, but they didn't. The doctor seemed to think that she just wasn't far enough along to hear it and that's what I think too. They're in-between insurances so she wouldn't let the doctor do a sonogram because of the expense. She's still having morning sickness, except it's in the evening, so that's a good sign that her hormones are still changing. The signs are still there that she's pregnant but the spotting is still a worry. I'd really appreciate your prayers for her and the baby. Thanks for checking on her.

How frightening. I hope everything is okay. PLease keep us updated>

DianaB 04-11-2007 09:57 AM

I asked her yesterday how things were going and she said that she's not spotting any more. As I said before (Didn't I?), I really felt that God told me that we WILL have a baby! He's spoken to me just a few times and I KNOW that he spoke to me again.

Chandra Amaya 04-11-2007 10:23 AM

I'm so glad that things are going better. Our thoughts continue to be with you & your family.

that is so awesome that she is better and that you are that close to God

toodles 04-15-2007 06:37 PM

This is the first time i have read this thread.....how is she doing? I know the pain that a miscarriage causes and I am so sorry she has had to go through it in the past. I pray this will work out fine....

I had a friend that spotted for the first 4 months of her pregnancy but she ended up having a perfectly healthy full term baby. I pray this is the same and that it will stop.

Gina 04-16-2007 05:15 AM

Awww Diana I am so happy that all is going well, and its wonderful that you have such a strong faith in God. He will not let you down.

Taurus Babe 04-16-2007 09:50 AM

Oh yeah! I'm so glad to hear that all is well right now. Poor thing, it must be so scary especially since she's been through this before. Please keep us up-to-date on her and babies health. AND how are you holding up there?

DianaB 04-16-2007 11:41 AM

My daughter is 14 weeks now and still doing fine. The last I talked to her the spotting had stopped and she's having cravings for odd things and still has a little bit of morning sickness. At every sign that her pregnancy is devoloping I'm thrilled. She was depressed for a while with thinking that she was going to miscarry but I can see that starting to fade. She's still reserved about the pregnancy, but I'm praying that soon all of that will pass and she'll be able to look forward to planning for this baby. God is so good!
