Whats for dinner??
Tonight i'm making Spanish spaghetti, i call it that because i learnt this recipe in Spain.
Cook your spaghetti. Fry onions, garlic, mushrooms, green/red/yellow peppers. When that is done, add a can of tomato, add some hot water to dilute it a bit. Add salt/pepper to taste. Allow that to cook for a few minutes, and add a can of sour cream, leave that to simmer for a minute or two. (the cream takes away the sharpness of the tomato) It's so easy, and quick, specially if you dont have much time to cook, you can add seafood, like prawns if you like. I dont because i'm vegitarian, but either way, it's very tasty. Serve with grated cheese, and salad. |
That really sounds yummy. I will have to try that.
I made Veggie beef soup over the weekend. Can of Roast Beef or you can cook a roast and use it. Big can Tomatoe Juice, Then I just start throwing things in. Garlic crushed, cabbage, green beans, corn, carrotts, potatoes, celery, tomatoes, onion. Beef Boullion cubes (2), season salt, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder. Let it cook for an hour and my family loves it. especially if it's cold outside |

That sounds really nice for those cold evenings or days when you come in, and need something to warm up:thumbup: |
Well, today I'm in class until really late, so we'll probably just have whatever is quick and easy, maybe beans and rice or turkey burgers...

Angie, those steamed ready to eat meals, that you put in the microwave are very good if you have no time. I make them sometimes when i'm over my ears in "to do things" or have been away all day. |

I'll tell you a little story: Few years ago, my DH bought me one of those bread making machines. I made my first bread, well... it had the shape of a pigs head, while it was still hot, i let them taste, wasnt bad... next morning i made a parcel for my DH and told him, i made hes buddy the same parcel, and to give it to him. Hes friend phoned me, thanked me kindly, but asked if the bread was made for building a house? It was rock hard, so i told him, how daft he was for not knowing that he was supose to DIP the bread in soup LOL |

What? I wasn't really paying attention. I'm sorry, but I was thinking about the red pocketbook I saw yesterday.
Or..... Oh - you know what? I have to be somewhere in about 2 minutes. Bye! Or..... I'm not really sure I know what you mean. Or..... I forgot. (My personal fav). And there are so many more! |
