Ok....very nerve wracking story and wont get into it, LOL...But my son wanted to have portraits made of him and I duing our latest visit last weekend. We don't see each other often and it really meant alot to him. Well, he had friends of his Dad my ex-husband take the pics. Ok, so that's where the nerve wracking part came into play but we got a pic. :D In the end it was all worth it.

I think its absolutely fabulous, river!

That is so nice of your son, mine runs a mile when I want a picture with him.
You look so young with him. |
That's a great picture!
He looks like you... but you look too young to have a grown son! |
Sheryl, that picture is gorgeous, i hope you are going to frame it. It really is stunning!

I agree. That's a really nice picture!!! Definitely have it framed and matted to hang in your home!!!
|
Thanks y'all!! :p Brian and I are actually getting all the shots that were taken. The guy just started his own photo business and my son and I were guinea pigs, LOL. So, we are getting photo's/mats free of charge.
It was very very nice of them to bring us into their home and shoot these pictures. Definitely I will be framing one on my wall. Oh....and trust me that the picture was touched up, LOL. I about died seeing how much I've aged, the stress that's taken it's toll on my face, tired eyes, etc...But the guy said not to worry he would fix all that stuff. |

I don't believe the touch-up for a minute. You're so beautiful and your son, my goodness, what a handsome young man. You do really do look a lot alike. No denying mother and son in that beautiful picture. |
Wow Sheryl! What an awesome picture! You are gorgeous and you have such a nice looking son! You must be so proud. :)

This was the first time I've seen him as a man and it's hard to explain that feeling that a Mom get's seeing this look on their son for the first time. It's a good feeling. It's a new level of a relationship between Mom and Son, and it's just been heartwarming. I noticed for the first time a "role" switch if that makes sense. I see the protection he now has over me in his eyes and actions now. Before it was just me, Mom trying to protect my son. All that switched over time. It's been cool!! He's so appreciative of me and proud of his Mom. It's just beautifully awesome!! In time, you will experience this too with your own Son Janet. No worries of not seeing your Son Janet. Oh he will venture out to find himself and grow but he won't forget you. He will always love you. |

Sheryl, it sounds like you have a good relationship with your son even though you are a long ways apart. I can tell the pride that you have for him in your comments. You're very blessed! |
I agree with Diana on this Janet. You have always expressed a wonderful closeness between you and your son. Oh he might stray off a bit, but will never go too far. As Diana said, no worries. :p
|
Thank you Sheryl and Diana...that makes me feel a lot better. I just don't think I could handle us not being close.
|
Boys do love their Moms! That bond between you and your son shows through the picture Sheryl. I think that's part of the reason it's such a great photo.
He's so handsome, and you're some hot mama! |
