You go girl! I think you should make a before and after picture, progressing along. Put on an outfit and make your picture. Then, put that same outfit on and stand in the same place once a month or so.

I'm still doing Curves, but am not dedicated to the dieting part. I'm going to find a WW meeting!

Hi Tiramisu,

My daughter wants a Curves membership for her birthday. How much is it, if you don't mind me asking. They don't terll you o their website and from what I can figure out from other sites, they're about $150 to join, and then about $30/month?

judy 01-26-2008 01:41 PM

Janet,

You are fantastic, terrific, wonderful, stupendous and ab fab!

I am so proud of you!

I think you might be motivating me to go. Or not. Whatever - good for you!!!

That's a great idea...I'll have to find something that shows my fat........well you know, and then take another one when I lose it!! I love WW so far. I get to eat anything I want. I've tried every diet in the world (almost) and this is so much better than they ever were. I'm not going hungry.

Janet 01-26-2008 04:50 PM

Thanks ladies...It would not be quite as easy without you...my lovely cheerleaders!!!

Tink 01-26-2008 04:58 PM

Janet, I'm so glad you're doing so well with WW!
Keep up the good work girlfriend!

Gina 01-27-2008 05:03 PM

YAAAAAAAAAAAA Way to go Janet!!!  Your doing wonderfully and by the spring you will start noticing by your clothes.... Keep up the good work!

BTW I just brought the stella doro 100 pack snacks , I hear ww allows them. They are really satisfying with a cup of coffee or tea. I munch on many different favorities of 100 calories packs.. I lost a few pds myself this week, being I am on a soft food diet...lol oh well the only postive thing ...

Janet 01-31-2008 05:57 PM

Okay....looks like I'm going to have to get off my fat butt and exercise now...:(

I only lost .4 tonight at the WW weigh-in. I knew it was going to slow down, but I darn near got whiplash from that weigh-in...LOL. Guess the old treadmill and I are gonna have to become fast buddies again....darn it!:p

Marilyn 01-31-2008 08:26 PM

Janet, I am sooooo happy for you making such progress. If you add some exercise, you may do even better. Don't be upset by a small loss one week. Keep going and you will meet your goal!!!
:cheer: :cheer:

BTW, I've gained 13 lbs since July  . I've got to get with the program. We have a wedding in 5 months   !!!

Tink 01-31-2008 08:41 PM

Janet, it's still a step in the right direction. I hope you don't get discouraged... I have every faith you can do this. Winter is hard because it's easy to hibernate like bears when it's so nasty cold out. Stick to your plan and I know you'll succeed.

HUGS

Janet 02-01-2008 03:16 AM

I'm not getting discouraged yet. At least it's still going down and not up. There were some there tonight that gained. I hope if and when that happens to me, I know it's because of something I ate, water build-up..etc. I pray about this alot...it's for my health.

Tiramisu 02-01-2008 08:11 AM

You're doing so good! I haven't been to Curves in two weeks. I've had bronchitis or something for over a week and there was a fatality carjacking in their parking lot last week, so I'm paranoid to go. There was a random fatal shooting at the little mall across the street a few weeks back that adds to my nuttiness!

judy 02-01-2008 08:17 AM

That's pretty scary! Be careful when you do go.

Tink 02-01-2008 09:10 AM

Wow Sandy, that would scare me too.
Please be careful!

Sorry, I didn't catch your question earlier. I pay $42/m through an ExxonMobil corporate discount program with Curves. They had some deal going when I started that if you had had a mammogram recently the signup was free.

DianaB 02-01-2008 10:24 AM

Janet, don't beat yourself up. You lost almost a half a pound and that's great!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!

Sandy, I think that I'd find another Curves to go to, one in a safer neighborhood. I'm sure that Houston has several others.

Janet 02-07-2008 06:40 PM

I had my 5th Weight Watcher weigh-in this evening and I am sooooooo happy!!!! :cheer: :cheer: I lost another 4.2 lbs for a grand total of 18.4 lbs.

I was sick Sat. and Sun. and didn't eat anything. Then on Monday and Tuesday I didn't watch my points very well and ate alot of bad stuff. I finally got back on track on Wed. and today and I made them weigh me twice. I thought it was a mistake. Yay!!!!! :cheer:

Tink 02-07-2008 06:47 PM

Well done Janet! That's a full clothing size already!
You've got to feel that when you get dressed!

Janet 02-07-2008 06:54 PM

I do feel it now. My jeans are real baggie in the butt and thighs. Even though I have a heck of a lot more to lose, it makes me 'feel' smaller. I love it. I still have all my MIL clothes packed in tubs..I am so hoping that by spring I'll be able to fit into some of them. She had a lot of clothes and all different sizes.

Wow, Oh Wow!!!!!!! That's fantastic, Janet!!!!!!!! I'm so glad that you're seeing results so quickly!!!!! You keep it up and soon you'll be on a beach in a bikini with Lindsey!!!!!!!

Janet 02-08-2008 03:49 AM

I will tell you right now Diana...bikini...NO WAY!...LOLOLOL Maybe if I was in my 20's or early 30's, but I've done lost that right..lol.
