Survey for school project

Hey everyone! I am currently doing a survey as part of a huge project for school. It's about health care issues and is for adults age 18-30 living in the US. It's short and simple and probably won't take more than five minutes. If you or anyone you know would be willing to do this for me, I would really appreciate it! The more I get the better. Just let me know and I'll send you a PM with the survey. You can just "bold" or "underline" the answers that you choose. Thank you so much! :)

Tink 02-08-2008 10:51 AM

Good luck hon I'm about 23 yrs too late for this one. ;)

I knew it wouldn't work for a lot of the ladies here, but I had to ask just in case. :)

The reason for the age limit is that the organization I'm working with wants to see what the younger generation thinks since usually they are healthy and don't have to worry about medical bills and such. We are hoping to reach them so that they can become advocates for change as they get older. ;)

Janet 02-08-2008 02:47 PM

I'm 23 years late too!!! You know I would've taken the survey for you if I was in the right age brackett.

Lindsey 02-08-2008 04:23 PM

My age is right, but my country is wrong :) I would do the survey if I could!

Gutu28 02-08-2008 05:16 PM

You can PM me with your survey if you want. If you need a quicker answer, PM me on YT..the name is the same :)

AngieDoogles 02-08-2008 11:28 PM

Thanks for offering everyone. I'm sorry that there had to be limits. :(

Gutu, I'm just waiting on my group to send me some feedback on the survey I created and then I'll send it out. Hopefully that will be tomorrow. Thanks so much!

I can't believe that all three of you were born in the same year! Definitely the year of the "babes"!!! My year must be the year of "funny" or something like that!!!! 1957

rivermom 02-11-2008 11:04 AM

I'm too old also for the survey. Sorry Angie.

Janet - you share my brother's B-day of March 6th.

Oh Tracie,

You are too late - actually you were born too late. I won those imaginary prizes for being the oldest one here.

He was kind of cute. A sweet Irish face, no robes. This is traffic court - they don't have robes or even a courtroom.

I see him as married though. He had that look.

Kinda shell shocked? Like he was suffering from PTSD? :yelrotflmao: :sidesplit:

judy 02-18-2008 11:36 AM

And a bit depressed too. Frightened of women. Had no clue how to deal with me, except to be quiet.

Yup, married!

Ok, I'm the naive one!!! What does PTSD stand for?

Tink 02-18-2008 07:44 PM

PTSD= Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.... thoroughly traumatized by some horrible event.

Marilyn 02-18-2008 08:22 PM

Diana, thank you for asking. I was sitting here going DUHHHHHH??

Tink 02-18-2008 10:40 PM

OOOPS ladies sorry. I didn't mean to confuse you. It's not a BAD thing to not know what it is... means you likely don't have to deal with anyone close to you having it!

We have a friend who got part of his nose shot off in Viet Nam. If he hears gunshots he hits the dirt and scrambles for cover. It's gotten to be kind of a sick sad joke... especially during hunting season. But that's PTSD for ya... if he could hold off long enough to think about where he's at and what time of year it is he'd probably ignore it like the rest of us. Yet his mind when he hears a gun shot instantly puts him back in time to the day he lost part of his nose and he drops before he has time to think.

judy 02-19-2008 08:17 AM

Poor guy! If you hear gunshots in Brooklyn, you hit the ground running too. We don't hunt - we shop. Gunshots only mean danger here.

I used to enjoy teaching my students about the different adaptations humans make depending on their environments.

What terrible memory do you think married men are reacting to when they go into that PTSD mode?
