Bath's or Showers

Heres a poll. Which do you like best Bath's or Shower's.
I love baths but showers are so much faster when I'm in a hurry.

I agree i like to relax in a bath but i only have time to shower

Luv2Teach 09-19-2006 03:44 PM

We don't have a tub yet...hopefully by spring time our construction will be done. But so for now, I say shower, but I can't wait to relax in a nice hot bath.

I always take a bath and then shower off....so I take both....I'm squeaky clean!! Can't stand the thought of soap scum still on me.

Pretty much a shower person. I take actually baths about twice a year but showers at least once a day!

Taurus Babe 09-19-2006 06:27 PM

I have 3 bathrooms in my house that all have showers and no tubs! So a nice soak in a tub is a treat for me! But I still have to shower off the soap scum!:D

My Mom and I have always disagreed on that one. She thinks you get cleaner in a tub of dirty water?

We also differ about hand-washing dishes. She has to have a sink full of soapy water... she says that's the only way to get the dishes clean.

I say you wash them under running water with lots of soap. I say leaving them in the dirty water leaves them dirty...

I prefer to take a shower. If i bath i have to shower after, because i don't like that soapy feeling, and also, a shower is a lot quicker.

Carolyn 09-20-2006 05:10 AM

Always a shower. Never time for a bath.

I prefer showers. I am somewhat of a germaphobe and I really don't like the idea of laying in my own filth. And no matter how many times I clean my tub, I never feel like it is clean enough for me to lay in. Yuck! :p

I am a shower person but I do enjoy a nice hot bubble bath every now and then. Showers each and every morning - just can't start my day if I don't take a shower first thing - and that includes on the week-ends! If I do yard work or wash my car and get hot and sweaty, I'll take another shower. But I do love to take a bubble bath every now and then as a treat to myself:) Lots of bubbles, water as hot as I can stand it, a cold bottle of water, and a good book....so relaxing!

Baths, almost never showers! We built our house oh about 5 years ago, and I think our shower has been used like 3 times.

My husband prefers baths over showers also. But, this only due to him not wanting to dry the shower down after he uses it, LOL. He knows if he takes a bath there is no clean up afterwards, but the shower has to be dried.

Just thought I'd throw in a tip for the shower: Clean it till it sparkles...and then use a good car wax (turtlewax). It doesn't leave the grime or water spots. I do this about every 2 or 3 months. :)

Great advise Janet, thanks!!! I'm going to try this with the tub and shower. Whoo-hoo. I bet it makes it shine so pretty too! :)

Janet 09-22-2006 05:11 AM

Yes it does shine...After my shower I usually have a plastic glass near and just kind of throw it on the walls of the shower to make sure I get all the splattered soap off and it stays really nice!!

I don't know if it makes a difference using the wax, but I have a fiberglass tub/shower combo. Once use use it, I'd really like to know if you all like it as much as I do.

Yes will try it carefull on the tub though in case you slip!!

DianaB 10-10-2006 02:30 PM

I think that the instructions that came with my fiberglass tub said to wax it once a year.

I love to take baths......long, hot, soaking baths. Especially when I have a good book to read. It's one of my favorite things to do. We have a really large tub and hubby often joins me!!
