Prayers Needed Asap
 

i posted this before "what a slap in the face" about my husband getting a 12 cent raise, we'll his boss found out that he is taking another job next month with another company and wants to meet with him after work today. My husband said he was talking to his foreman on the job and he said that the big boss was going to offer him another 2.00 and hour, and a company truck to stay, oh if he gets this i will be so happy...

Please say a prayer for us that he gets this promotion we need it so bad.

thank you, i am a nervous wreck today,, thinking about this.. i hope he gets this.. i really don't want him switching jobs right now, hey the grass is not always greener on the other side, then if he does take this other job he'll be starting from the bottom again and has to work his way to the top, with a 1 year old at home i just don't want to chance anything right now...

i just can't wait till he gets home tonight and let me know what happen....

He's meeting his boss today after work, so it will be sometime after 4:00 he works 7-4 Pm, and i work 6:30 - 3:00 pm. so after the meeting i'll see him at home, he comes straight home after work. so i'll let you know what happens tomorrow morning, i'm praying for him, whatever he desides he knows i'm behind him 100%..

I'm hoping he gets it! Good luck.

Oh boy how exciting for your husband and you. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that he gets this so he won't have to change jobs. Let us know!!!

i'll let you know, tomorrow morning.. i been praying all day, my nerves are shot, been eating left over candy canes from Christmas that i found in my desk all day..:( hummm i hope they were from this years Christmas?

I'll be praying as well. I hope that things work out for the best.

I think that I heard that candy canes that are over a year old have a chemical something that changes and they become poisonous over time. Just joking!!!!!

Oh, Haley, soooo hoping the gets the raise and the truck. A company truck is a really big deal these days with gas prices as they are!! I drive a company truck and I figure it's worth several thousand dollars a year.

Can't celebrate yet, Mike called him yesterday at 3:00 like his boss told him to and his secretary cancelled the meeting until today at 4:00. i'm getting an ulcer over here, i think his boss is playing games with him now.... so i guess i have to wait til he gets home today, keep those fingers crossed again today Ladies.. i'm going back to eating my candy canes again today and being depressed. I can't take this waiting game, im getting very stressed here....
I asked Mike why he cancelled and he said his boss had to run to a job site they were having problems. i don't know if i believe that or not? What do you guys think or am i just over reacting ?

i know Marilyn i also have a company truck and you are right it does save you thousands.. just hoping Mike gets his. i just feel like crying right now.. i can't take this waiting, his boss better meet with him today, i told Mike to call him at lunchtime and make sure you are meeting him today at 4:00... and he said he'll call him again.. so it's another day of waiting... :( :( :(

Relax, and try deep breaths......Under the circumstances, you are not over reacting. However, look at this from the bosses perspective. He may have actually had a crisis on a job and that was the higher priority for him at the moment. He determined the talk with you hubby could wait a day. He may not realize the anguish he is causing.

with working, painting at home my house is a mess, and a first Birthday party coming up. i'm just cracking up, i just have to much on my plate this month..

We all have months like that for sure. My last 10 years have been like that....LOLOL.

Ok he finally met with his boss yesterday and the first question his boss asked him is what is it going to take to keep you? I told my husband before he left to throw the question back at him and ask you boss how much do you think im worth to keep? But he didn't he told his boss about the 12 cent raise and his boss didn't believe him, he said he'll get together with the girl at payroll.
So Mike said the meeting went well and he told his boss what he wanted or he's leaving next month to take this job with the other company, and his boss said he will look everything over this weekend and get together with payroll and see what he can do for him and get back to him Monday or Tuesday..
I was like great we have to wait more days now, but i guess it's better than a no we can't help you.. so i'll keep you ladies posted when i hear something.

He asked for another $2.00 an hour, a company truck and a gas card. so well see. or he told his boss he's leaving.. it's a shame he's been with this company for 17 years, he's a foreman, and don't even have a company truck, what really made him mad, was some guy that don't know crap about his job got a 47cent raise and he's only been there for a year! not fair... That 12 cents was such a joke...

Haven't heard anything yet, my Husband is going to call him today.. His boss is making this a very slow process, when all we need is a yes or no answer.... i hate this waiting game it's driving me crazy... i'll let you ladies know as soon as i hear anything, hopefully very, very, soon...

Thanks Tink, i just talked to Hubby about an hour ago, he said he'll call again at lunch time, i think he's getting frustrated with me buggy him too.. we'll i just want to know what the answer is, and he's getting mad at me... His boss told him Tuesday not Wednesday. right? or am i bugging him to much?

Thanks Marilyn, nothing yet and it's Thurday, my husband is discussed!! He told me last night he's not calling his boss anymore, he called twice this week, he said what he had to at the meeting and if he don't want to return his calls, he will just leave in March and go with the other company.
I'm just praying his boss does call, i don't want him starting another job right now with a small baby at home, it just means he'll be traveling more, and i'll be home with the baby alone, and it's hard by yourself.
But i still have hope he'll call him, still praying on it.
let you guys know as soon as my husband calls, im not going to bug him anymore, being that he's pissed off enough already, i don't want to add fuel to the fire. so i'll wait for the call. he said he'll call as soon as he hears anything...
so i'll sit here depressed again today :( :( :(
