How much is Regular Unleaded Where You are?

Thought it might be interesting to compare gas prices. Tell us in general where you are and what Regular Unleaded is going for.

South Texas yesterday $ 3.15 per gallon

(just last week it was $ 2.99 in the town where I work, and $ 3.09 where I live.)

In Corpus Christi where many refineries are, it was $ 3.03 yesterday at Valero stations.

pearl 03-13-2008 06:27 AM

$2.99

judy 03-13-2008 06:34 AM

About $3.69 for super.

I saw a quickie on the news this morning - the most expensive gas station in the country is in California and is charging $5.00/gallon.

Greedy little weasel! He says that he's the only station for about 42 miles and he charges that much because he can.

Tiramisu 03-13-2008 07:59 AM

Exxon was $3.19 this morning, three blocks from my ExxonMobil office!

catlover 03-13-2008 08:08 AM

I only buy the cheapest gas-it's $3.25 in Pa for regular unleaded.

Jess36 03-13-2008 08:31 AM

The regular was $3.29 in the area of PA that I live in this morning. A few days ago it was down to $3.15.

Janet 03-13-2008 10:01 AM

$3.39

Here is a great website for everyone!

WoW!! Thanks Janet. The range of prices in my area go from 3.20 to 3.53 and that's regular unleaded. The cheapest is at Mobil, I think I'm gonna run over there and gas up before it goes any higher. A tank of gas lasts me for a month, cuz I'm such a homebody. Great site, thanks again.

Do you know how lucky you are?!!! A tank of gas only lasts me about 5 days, and it costs me over $50 to fill up!!! I basically go nowhere except work and home again. sigh....:cry2:

Gina 03-13-2008 11:51 AM

I pay 2.99 for regular and I fill up three cars so I spend lots of money on gas.

Marilyn 03-13-2008 01:42 PM

We're filling 4 vehicles that we pay for out of our pockets. My gas is paid for by my company and some days I use 1/2 tank. However the money spent on company gas reduces the profit for our branch which reduces my income, so I actually pay a little of it.

Tiramisu 03-14-2008 05:58 AM

Exxon was $3.22 this morning, three blocks from my ExxonMobil office!

Ashley V 03-14-2008 09:11 AM

3.23 this morning. My car was between a 1/2 and a 1/4 of a tank and it cost me $34 to fill it up. I was shocked

Marilyn 03-14-2008 09:17 AM

I filled up this morning for $3.19. Tank full cost $74.74 OUCH!!

Janet 03-14-2008 09:27 AM

Guess I'd better stop looking for that used motor home huh? Won't be able to afford to go anywhere.

Marilyn 03-14-2008 09:45 AM

I checked on air fare today from my town to Rochester, NY. $307 per person for one way fare. We'd be driving a vehicle back. That's definitely cheaper than driving!!

Chandra Amaya 03-14-2008 11:58 AM

3.17 a gallon and that's at the cheapest place

AngieDoogles 03-14-2008 11:59 AM

3.23 at the place Bren and I stopped at on the way to the store.

pearl 03-14-2008 03:53 PM

went up today to $3.09!

DianaB 03-14-2008 07:42 PM

Looks like gas here is between $3.14 and 3.19. I fill up at the co-op and have a card where it automatically charges it to our account so I really don't pay attention to the price. They're suppose to be a little bit cheaper than the other places. Also we fill up with ethanol.

NicoleMarcelle 03-22-2008 09:16 PM

i am jealous lol

here it's upwards of 3.30

catlover 03-24-2008 09:09 AM

Still $3.25 here. I don't know why Pa seems to be higher than a lot of other states. Must be the taxes.

Janet-speaking of motor homes...I read where the average motor home only gets 3-11 mpg!!! Ouch!

Tink 03-24-2008 09:39 AM

$3.29.9 here yesterday.

Emmsmom 04-01-2008 12:42 PM

$3.15-$3.20 here. Man this is just getting ridiculous. The oil Execs keep getting richer by the minute!

Dobie 04-01-2008 12:44 PM

Between $3.10 and $3.20 - but it seems every time I go by the station the price has been raised again. What kills me is the oil companies whining that they need to make a profit - but I heard on NPR that they've increased the profits every quarter for the past 10 years or so.

Janet 04-01-2008 01:22 PM

I don't know if you all saw it, but I posted a link somewhere in this thread for checking gas prices near where you live. I've been using it a lot here lately and it sure has helped save a few bucks here and there.

Marilyn 04-01-2008 07:49 PM

It's been down a bit here lately. $3.099 It's bad when we think this is a bargain!!!

And the news today says that the oil companies are getting millions in tax breaks!!!

Something is wrong with our system!!!

MsFamousHepburn 04-01-2008 10:51 PM

WOW! I am jealous! Unleaded gas in town is at least $3.48 a gallon:eek: ! Luckily, gas on post is generally about 10 to 20 cents cheaper than town...but its still around 3.28 at that!

Wow, that is high!!!! Isn't your electricity like $.02 per kwh though due to all the hydroelectric generation? Ours is running $.13, and that's after shopping around for a lower cost provider.

MsFamousHepburn 04-02-2008 02:12 PM

O gosh! I don't even know....thats sad isn't it? (We just recently moved out here.) I know it has went up some though because of all "green" changes the energy company has been making...

NicoleMarcelle 04-08-2008 10:51 AM

on that link that you posted it says the nat. high, low and avg...

lowest is 2.01 in Adel, GA
highest is 4.40  in Mendosino, CA
and average is 3.32

Lindsey 04-13-2008 08:31 PM

Okay I even did the conversions so you American peoples would understand :)
Our prices around my province right now are about $4.69/gal. By this summer it's expected to be at least $5.86/gal.
It makes no sense here because the province (as well as Alberta) is basically sitting on an ocean of oil and we are bringing it up like crazy and shipping it everywhere. So we're shipping our stuff to places like Toronto, and they're only paying (as of last week) $4.01/gal. :(

Marilyn 04-14-2008 03:40 AM

Oh, Lindsey, that's horrible. That's Canadian dollars, too. Aren't yours worth more than ours right now?? I haven't been keeping up with the Canadian exchange rate lately, but I know the US$ has been dropping in value compared to most others.

It was worth more at the end of last year, and I think into January too, but for some reason it's now back down just below your dollar I think. Some people are saying it's supposed to keep dropping, and some say it's going to rise again by the end of the year. I hate not knowing, because I need to take american money with me to NYC at the end of the year, and if it's going to keep dropping, I'd like to take out that money now while the exchange rate is still relatively good! But then I don't want to be kicking myself later if our dollar goes back up

Tiramisu 05-14-2008 12:23 PM

Regular was $3.699 while I filled up my Tahoe yesterday. This should be interesting to watch:

On May 15, ExxonMobil Chairman and CEO Rex Tillerson will sit down with "The Today Show's" host Matt Lauer to discuss earnings, oil and gasoline prices, windfall profits taxes, and other current issues impacting the energy industry. Watch him on May 15 at 7:15am ET/CT on NBC.

Chandra Amaya 05-14-2008 12:54 PM

we are up to 3.49...at the cheapest:thumbdwn:

Tink 05-14-2008 01:06 PM

$3.799 here today. And it's not going to get any better!

Janet 05-14-2008 01:39 PM

This morning we are at $3.95

I remember my dad getting mad when it went up to 26 cents.

Thank you for this. I would really love to hear what they have to say. I just hope I don't forget to watch it.

Tink 05-14-2008 02:22 PM

Wonder what they're paying him to be on that hot seat?
