Building relationships

My son's fiancee had a birthday this week. I got her a dainty silver bracelet with her name engraved on it and a card.. nothing too elaborate, but it brought tears to her eyes when she opened it.

She told me her Mom sends her a check and her dad forgets altogether, so getting something so personalized really touched her. I had no clue... but was glad I'd chosen a gift that she saw as something so special.

I got a nice hug for it that made my day. :)

You're a very thoughtful person Tink. I'm sure it was a lovely bracelet.

How sweet of you Tink. You are always such a thoughtful person. You son's fiancee is a lucky lady to have you as a future MIL. :)

What a wonderful gift, Tink!!! I bet that you'll have a really good relationship with your future daughter-in-law.

How wonderful that you two are bonding so well! Someone else to love is a blessing for both of you.

aww Tink that was a wonderful gift, your going to make a wonderful mother in law, you don't know how much a small gift like that means to a person, and your talking to a person that never ever got one single gift let a lone a card from her mother in law. it hurts sometimes, but i am so use to his family now it don't bother me anymore. your wonderful girl !!!

Thanks ladies, but I'm the lucky one. I really sincerely love her. She's very kind and caring and has found her way into our hearts and family already.

For mothers day she got me flowers and a beautiful card. She's a real sweetie and we're glad Joel found her.

I'm so glad, Tink. That will make their marriage so much less stressful as well. It's nice that my mom likes my hubby... most of the time... and that I like his parents.

Haley,

If you were my daughter-in-law, I'd buy you a beautiful present, flowers and a card that would tell you how much I love you!

Forgivenmom5 05-13-2008 07:42 PM

That's very sweet Judy.
