One Room Done!!
 

Ladies...I have one room totally done. While my son is at camp, I painted and cleaned his room. It looks so nice. He had it this green color and even though I didn't like it...it's what he wanted so I let him have his space.

Well, he hinted when I told him I was going to paint my bedroom that his needed it too "probably." So it is now a soft white and looks so clean and crisp. I hope I can keep up the momemtum and keep painting.

My bedroom needs it so bad and both bathrooms. So, maybe I can get a another room painted before they get back on Saturday...we'll see.

I sure was sore Monday night. After I got done painting, I took my shower and had my supper. I sat in the recliner to watch a little TV and felt fine, but tired. When I got up...I didn't know if I was going to make it....every muscle in my body was screaming out in pain. I even got up once in the middle of the night to take an ibuprofen. Feeling pretty good now, but I'd better keep moving or I'm sure I will stiffen up...LOL....man I hate getting old.

Janet, sounds like you're getting lot done. So nice that you have the time off to do things like that. Don't forget to post pics when you are done!!

oh janet, know what you are going thru, we just scrubbed the walls down and painted all the rooms again, back in February, i remember scrubbing walls till midnight while Micah was sleeping! YUK!!!

Janet you are getting lots done without the boys home. I bet its nice and quiet, and you can just do whatever you like.. Enjoy it!! But don't over do it..

Your to busy..................But I know you get more things done when the gang is gone. I remember how it feels . When Dustin graduated highschool in 2006.
We painted the whole outside of the house and most of the inside. Oh did I say we. I'm sorry I meant me.........lol Have fun and don't over do..........

Here are pictures of his room. I need to put some things on his wall, but haven't yet. Took some things down that were a little too 'young' for him now.

Yesterday I got the boys bathroom all cleaned and painted. Today, I will need to put it back together again. I thought they were doing a better job of keeping it clean, but obviously I was wrong. It was a mess. Guess I will need to check it more often than I did.

WOW that looks perfect!!! So nice and fresh, oh i love it! Well done girl :thumbup: you are GOOD. I would never be able to get all that done, and still be walking LOL

Rick's room looks very nice! It definitely looks refreshed and I'm sure that he'll be very happy with it when he sees it. Good job, Janet!!!!

Thanks ladies. The bathroom is all done now and put back together. Can't wait for them to see it. Looks like a different bathroom...everything just sparkles. You can sure tell it was built in the 70's...how about that harvest gold toilet, tub/shower and sinks. I wish I had enough money to put it all to white...maybe someday I will.

I think I'm done till the guys get home. I hope Monday to start on my bathroom and bedroom.

Right now, I'm so tired and sore, but I did manage to get the house back in order. It's amazing that when you clean and paint one room...it somehow makes the other rooms a mess too.

It looks great Janet! You really did a good job. If I ever tried to paint anything, I wouldn't be showing off pics cause I would mess the whole thing up! LOL

Nice job, Janet. Our first home had harvest gold sinks and toilet, too. I thought they were so pretty. The guys are going to be so happy when they get home and see their new home.

I love doing things like this. It's almost like a fresh start ;)

My living room needs a nice mellow earthy color. I have been looking at white textured walls too long, you may have just lit the fire under me with inspiration lol

The bedroom looks great - we have some painting that we have to do but I just can't get motivated to get it done.

I know what you mean Dobie, I had the 'want' to get it done...just not the motivation. Once I got started though, I was ready to keep going. I want to start again on Monday with my bedroom, but I may wait till Wednesday....I don't like being interrupted doing this kind of thing and I have to take mother to the Dr. on Tuesday. I would really like to have it all done by the time school starts again in Aug.
