Just so we can get to know each other a little better, what college(s) did you all attend and what did you study? I went to St. John's University and got my Bachelors of Science degree in Criminal Justice.

I wish I had gone on to college. My biggest regret. I had always wanted to be an elementary teacher ever since I was very small. Parents couldn't afford for me to go and never encouraged it once!! So I met my husband and wanted out of the house, so here I am. I encourage all the kids on my bus to go on to college.

I went to undergrad at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR EAGLE! HEY!!!!!

I majored in Agricultural Business and Economics. My husband also went there and that is where we met. Both of my parents went there, both of my husband's parents went there, and my grandparents went there. This place is in my blood. My hubby and I and our families love to go back to Auburn during football season to the games. In case you were not aware, Auburn's football team is #2 in the country this season. So cheer them on for me! :p Here are some pics:

1. The infamous AU -- Auburn University
2. Before the LSU/AU game a couple of weeks ago
3. Sea of Orange you see at every game
4. Hubby and I before a football game

I have applied to law school at University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL and Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, AL and will be attending one of those colleges starting August 2007.

I'm queen of the "quickie courses".
I went to tech for Emergency medical tech; Real estate sales agent; and Life insurance and annuities agent. I've worked in them all at one time or another.

As of today I'm signed up for more classes through my new employer. They're paying me to learn how to be a loan officer in the bank. More "quickie tech" for me. LOL

I'm at Illinois State University. I love the campus, it's so pretty. I'm studying Spanish Teacher Education. I'll be able to teach Spanish from kindergarten to 12th grade. I want to teach high school though. I'm excited :D

Well I was attending Belmont Technical College and going for a two year degree in Medical Assisting...had just decided to go on for my nursing but my husband injured his back and I withdrew from school to go to work. Soon as I can (hopefully next summer) I am going back to finish the medical assisting program and then on to nursing.

I started at San Diego State for my undergrad, I didn't get much done there so I moved up to northern LA for Cal. State University Northridge. I got my BA in Liberal Studies and my k-6 multiple subject teaching credential with authorization to teach math and English at middle schools. This past summer I finished my masters at Santa Clara University -- Interdisciplinary Education with an emphasis in reading; plus a Reading/Language Arts Specialist Credential.

You're on the same track I'm on! I currently have my Medical Assistant diploma, though I never actually worked as one. I did use it, however, to volunteer as an MA at a free clinic for people with no insurance and low income. That was very satisfying. I did that for about a year and a half for 3 hours every day from 8-11am, then worked at my "real" job from 12-6:30pm. Then I took night classes to fulfill my pre-req's for the Nursing program. Which is where I'm at now... I should have my acceptance/denial letter in the mail in the next week or two. :confuse2:
