What R U having for dinner?!

I need some good ideas! So, tell me what YOU'RE having for dinner! :p

Ponyup 10-11-2006 12:43 PM

I think we are having honey ham steaks & baby carrots

SweetCuteness 10-11-2006 12:54 PM

Teriyaki chicken with rice and maybe some pineapple. I've got a great teriyaki recipe! I should post it in the recipe forum when I get home.

I think that I'm going to have my husband pick up something tonight on his way home, but last night we had chicken simmered in Campbell's Garlic Mushroom soup, brown rice, brussel sprouts, and peaches. The night before that my 14 yo daughter made spaghetti.

Some recipes would be really nice especially if they're easy.

Well, every Wednesday my hubby plays golf so I don't cook. He usually brings home a big juicy hamburger and onion rings or ribs on his way home.

I've been making apple pies all afternoon and drinking wine. So....I know what I'am having for dessert! LOL :D

Janet 10-11-2006 02:29 PM

I have to tell another little story!!!

After we were first married I fixed a hamburger helper type meal. We sat down to eat and I noticed little black bugs in it. There was no way I was going to take a bite, but he picked the bugs out and ate it anyway. I threw the rest out.

Now you know what I've been telling you all along....I wasn't kidding!!!!

RLC12345678 10-11-2006 03:20 PM

So, what's the status, Janet?! Has he noticed that you didn't cook him dinner? Has he said anything to you about it?!

Janet 10-11-2006 03:23 PM

Too bad. If you all lived closer we could make him an upper flipper.

You are right though, he probably wont be feeling too good. Maybe tomorrow you could throw those peas at him.

Gina 10-11-2006 04:05 PM

I made susuage , peppers and I threw in some potatoes, it was delicious of course with italian bread and a glass of wine, and some salad on the side.. Easy one pan meal....

Janet honestly, you are just a nicer person than I am. Don't feel like you have to be mean like me. Afterall, you're the one who's been married for 32 years!!!! I've only been married for a little over a year! :D You should be the one giving ME marriage advice!

Willow 10-11-2006 04:16 PM

Well I worked today so he fixed dinner for him and the kids and I ate a turkey sandwich when I got home.

Think I will have him for dessert!! ;)

2tiredmom 10-12-2006 01:42 PM

What's for dinner? Beef and Noodles, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Veggies,
and Rolls. By the way that's homemade noodles and the mashed potatoes are from real potatoes. Green beans were from store. LOL:eek:

RLC12345678 10-12-2006 01:48 PM

Janet 10-12-2006 01:51 PM

Linda you are such a great cook, I wish you could just put it all in a foil box and send my meals here to me. I wish I liked cooking as much as you do.:)

Don't worry Janet. You're not the only one. I HATE cooking. Well, I take that back...I like cooking, but I hate everything that you have to do in addition to cooking when you do cook....go to the grocery store and clean up! I hate doing both of those thing!

Janet 10-12-2006 01:58 PM

Me too!!!! I just don't see the point in making a mess, just so I can clean it up later... And even though when you do cook....don't you think someone else's cooking always tastes better...most of the time?

I wish I could afford a cook, but that sure aint gonna happen.

LOTTERY WINNINGS....WHERE ARE YOU???????

2tiredmom 10-13-2006 01:32 PM

Tonights menu,

That's right it's Friday night and I'm cooking.
Pork Chops on the grill if it will stay lite. 30 mph winds here and cold.
French Fries, Corn, and veggies and pears.

RLC12345678 10-13-2006 01:36 PM

2nite we're having:

Filet Mignon
Twice Baked Potatos
Green Bean Casserole
Rolls

Janet 10-13-2006 02:00 PM

Don't know what we'll eat. Probably a sandwich since the boy isn't really hungry. Hubby can fix himself some soup. I just don't feel like eating. I started feeling better this afternoon, but now I'm feeling yucky again. Maybe he'll fix me some soup....
