Prayers Needed........
 

I got a phone call this afternoon from Damon's sister looking for Dae Lynn. I could tell that she was really upset and in talking to her I found out that Damon's Mom passed away. She hasn't been in good health lately. Just last week Dae Lynn was in Wichita with her. She's been in and out of the hospital quite a bit lately.

This is really hard on Damon, I'm sure, since he's still in jail. He was close to his Mom.

Dae Lynn told Karlie when they got home from school and then Karlie came in to tell me. I could tell she was crying when Dae Lynn told her. She went over and stayed with her quite often, at least until Damon went to jail. When Karlie came out she told me about her Grandma and then wanted reassurance that I wasn't dying too, since Glen's Mom had passed away recently as well. I can't tell you how loved I felt in her concern for me.

This is really going to be hard for all of Damon's family. I know that prayers would really be appreciated.

Praying for all. Give karlie a hug for me.

Oh I'm so sorry, this is just a terrible thing to happen. I know you and Glen will be a strength for everyone.

Diana I am so sorry for the loss of Damon's mother, my heart breaks for him. Will keep all of you in my prayers.

Gosh, I didn't realize she was that sick. I'm so sorry, and you will all be in my prayers. It's a shame that she died with her son in jail... it must be extra hard on everybody.

How is Damon handling the news Diana. Will they let him attend her services? I feel so bad for him....I know he has his problems but like I've told you before...there is something very likable about Damon. I really enjoyed the short time we met. Keeping you all in my prayers.

How are things going there Diana? Damon and DaeLynn doing all right? What about Karlie? Keeping them all in my prayers.

The funeral is tomorrow and Damon can get out of jail for 6 hours to attend. I'm glad because he's going to need that closure.

It's been hard on everyone. They are not a family that gets along very well and they have a lot of hurt feelings. Some things have been said to hurt Dae Lynn. She realizes that it's their way of dealing with what's going on but she's tried her best to help out this family. She finally had to step back and just let them deal with things without her. I think that having Damon by her side for the funeral will be helpful......for both of them.

Karlie's doing well now with her Grandma's death. The first night after Dae Lynn and the kids had been in bed for a while I heard a noise. When I checked it out it was Karlie crying. She was scared that she would die in her sleep because she had heard us talking about her Grandma dying. I crawled in bed with her and reassured her that she was going to live a long and healthy life.....as long as she didn't drink things that were bad for her and took care of herself. She didn't know that her Grandma also had a bad heart so I let her know that she had been very sick but we didn't tell her because we didn't want her to worry. Since then she seems to be handling things well. Tomorrow will be hard with everyone crying around her.

I'm happy to hear that Damon will be allowed to go to the funeral. Many hugs and positive thought for tomorrow.

So good that Damon will be able to attend the services. You're right, he will need to be there for his own peace of mind and closure. Why would they want to say hurtful things toward DaeLynn? I'm glad she is such a strong young woman and I know will be able to handle anything that comes her way.

I'm so glad that Damon will be able to attend the services. It is very hard when a dysfunctional family is involved. Janet, I remember when Gary's mom died suddenly and unexpectedly. I had to step up and make some decisions right after she passed away, because no one could think straight. After a couple of days, some of his sisters lashed out at me - why? - no good reason except for stress. An unexpected death in a family with lots of people who are very emotionally upset, can make for some very strange happenings. Everything will be OK in time.

Diana you have been a wonderful anchor for Karlie. I'm glad she has you.

I read to Dae Lynn all of your remarks and she is very touched. Thank you so much!! It just shows her how close we all are.

Gayle, thank you for sharing about Gary's family. I think that will help Dae Lynn realize that it is stress that caused Tessa to say harsh things to her. Tessa has apologized but still it's hard to forget what's been said.

Today will be hard so please remember the family in prayer. The funeral is at 3:00 so it's not an early funeral service.
