My Mother's Violets
2 Attachment(s)
Here are a couple pictures of my Mother's violets. The always bloomed for her but this is the first time they have bloomed for me since her passing. Aren't they beautiful? She had them in a north window, but I don't have a good spot for them in a north window so I've had them in a south window. I would hate for anything to happen to it...she really loved violets....her name was Violet Viola...can you believe that? LOL

They are beautiful! I always heard violets were hard to grow. I'm impressed....I can't grow ANYthing!

Janet those violets are perfect! Very beautiful.
I think your Mom is saying hi and she is still with you... |
Thanks...I miss her so much so it's important to me to keep them growing.

What a beautiful blue color!!! Your Mom would be very happy!! Do you fertilize them? That will help keep them blooming for some time. I used to have African violets in my kitchen window and they bloomed and were so pretty!!
You can take a leaf off and place it in a glass of water......only on the stem.......and it will root and grow. Then you'll have two plants in case something happens to one then you'll still have the other. |
When can I try that Diana? I would love to start more. I have the African Violet potting soil and yes I do use a fertilizer. I would love to have more than just this one.
