New Year's Resolutions???

Do you make new year's resolutions??

I usually don't make specific ones, but do have ideas of things I'll try to do better.

This coming year:

1. Try to read the Bible in a year. Be more diligent in my personal Bible study.
2. Organize all our stuff, sell what I can on E-Bay, and have a big garage sale in the spring.
3. Get sales up at work. Make lots and lots of sales calls and try to develop some new accounts.
4. Send out more cards of encouragement and visit more people who need the visits.
5. Take better care of my skin, hair, try Laura Mercier makeup.
6. Work out even more, eat sensibly and lose those 8 lbs that I can't seem to get rid of. (I'm afraid to weight after the holidays. It's probably more than 8 lbs now.)

These are not really resolutions, but are more like goals.

How about you???

I usually don't make any kind of resolutions! I ALWAYS fail them. So I pretty much do the same thing as set some goals....LOL...usually fail them too, but I do have a renewed kind of strength for some reason this year. Some of the things I would like to achieve in 2007 is:

Learn to make "choices" like what Robin McGraw talks about in her book. The way I react to things. I can choose to get upset because something wasn't done that I thought should have been, or choose to understand that if they didn't know I wanted it done....it wasn't because they didn't care.

I would like to get this weight off!! I am planning to walk on my treadmill even if I don't do any other exercises. If I can just walk a half hour a day....that would be a great improvement. I am planning to follow the Weight Watchers guidelines as much as possible, but realize, I'm human and it won't always be possible.

Those are just two of the "goals" I would like to achieve, but the list I have is huge. So, I'll try to tackle a few at a time. After all, I (hopefully) have a year!!!..LOL

I just have 2
read the bible more often (even though I make a point to read at least a little a day)
and to diet and try to get back in shape. I've completely lost who I am with these extra few lbs. ha ha ha. I need to exercise again, I seriously have some kangaroo pooch going on.

I would have to say the same thing as Sara. I need to read my Bible every day. I also need to lose some weight and exercise more. I also plan on getting my home more organized and keeping it cleaner. Not that it's bad, but it's never ready for company and my husband loves to invite people over on the spur of the moment.

I never make resolutions 'cause I know I won't stick to 'em anyway.
I'm just not one to find the willpower to do something I'm not otherwise motivated to do.

Me too Tink. That's why I decided to call the "goals" and I'm just going to list them on paper with everything else I'd like to get done and see what happens.

My "goals" for the new year are to:

1. Live a more healthy lifestyle. I'm going to eat more healthy, start an exercise routine, and try to stay clear of alcoholic beverages completely....okay, maybe a glass of red wine at dinner every once in awhile.
2. Get more involved in my church. I want to do more than just go to service on Sunday morning. I want to get involved in a Sunday School and/or a Bible Study.
