Do You Say "I Love You" When You Leave?
Do you say "I Love You" to your mate every time before you leave the house? Or when you get off the phone with them? Or when you come back home?
Why or why not? |
Nope not every time, very seldom...Only if I feel it.
|
Yup, sure do! Say it in the morning as I am leaving for the dental run. I hear "drive safe, love ya!" "Right back atcha" is usually my reply.
Then I hear it through out the day - and on the phone. It's just something him and I do. Life is short - Saying "I love you" makes ya feel good in all ways! Even one of my girl friends, Shellie. Her and I say I love you after our phone conversations. My other girlfriends and I don't say it often, just once in a great while. No matter what tone one uses to say "I love you" it always sounds good. Try it! Try yelling out in a bad ol loud sound "I love you" See...it still sounds nice doesn't it? LOL :D It even sounds better when softly spoken real slllooowww. :p |
I do. Every time. :) I just feel so much love for him that it makes me happy to say it. He's the same way. Guess that's just one more reason we are perfect for each other... :smlove2:

I tell my husband everynight before I go to sleep and every morning when I wake up. I also tell my kids every time I talk to them on the phone or if they are home before i go to bed.
|
Ok... for me its kinda, how can i say - - im not into the wishy washy mushy smoochy kind of stuff, BUT we do say it daily, when my husband leaves he says "i love ya, have a nice day" my reply "back at ya, and be safe" now... all depending on my mood, if i write out a card to anyone, whether its my brother, husband or other family, i put down a whole list of why i love them, and what they mean to me. I do the same with friends.

My hubby and I say it every morning before we leave the house, throughout the day when we get off the phone wtih each other, and every night before bed.
|
We say it all the time, not only to each other but also to the kids and grandkids. My Mom hardly ever said that she loved me and when she did it was always so sentimental. I said that I would say it all the time to my family and that it would be easy to say. We're a very loving family!

We do say it EVERY time one of us leaves the house or when we hang up the phone. To both each other & our kids.
Why? because that's how we feel & if something were to happen that that was the last time we saw or heard that person's voice, I want I love you to be the last words I said. If I didn't say it & something happened that my hubby or one of my kids didn't make it back home that day, I would never forgive myself or wonder if they knew I love them. |
Now I may not say it to my husband or him to me, but I tell my son a hundred times a day that I love him.
|
I rarely say it.......not sure why?!?!

We always kiss & hug when we leave in the morning, and wish each other a wonderful day, but "I love you" is reserved for when we feel especially loving and appreciative of the other, at times when it's kinda special. This happens fairly often, but not every day.
This is just how it works for us. I've been around people very much in love with great marriages who say it all the time, and others who had not so good marriages who said it all the time, more to reassure themselves. At least one of the latter ended in divorce. It's entirely up to the couple. Not saying it all the time does not mean you are not very much in love. Now, we say it all the time to our daughters. Just feels like we need to tell them more often. |
yup.. everyday even when we are mad....lol... and he says it back... usually he is the one that tells me every morning.. love you .. and then a big ol wet kiss... lol... and we say it through out the day too.... and right before bed and during the night if one wakes up for a drink of water or whatever.... I dunno it's always been our thing with each other.. we can be on opposite rooms of the couch watching tv and out of nowhere one of us will say.. " I love you babe or hunny "..... I am glad we have that and I still get that little tingling feeling hearing him say that even after 5 yrs married and 7 together...lol..
