Yeah the pool is going!!

The people who bought our above ground pool are coming to take it down today. I am so glad that it will be gone by this evening. My son and I were the only ones who used it and we haven't used it for the last two years. It was getting to be too much work and too expensive as far as chemicals..etc.

It's probably 20 years old, but in excellent shape. It was put in an area of our yard that slants so part of it is at least one foot maybe less in the ground. Now I will have to find some fill dirt to level it off. I'm just so glad that this is one more item to mark off my list of things I've wanted done. :)

YAYYYYYYYYY thats one thing you can wipe off your "to do" list! :) Good for you girl. ;)

Isn't it nice to see that list dwindling Janet?
Yeahhhhhhhhhh

DianaB 05-31-2007 06:40 AM

Janet, you'll have to have Tink come over and fill that place with flowers!!! Glad that you got one more item crossed off your to-do list. Good going!!

Janet 05-31-2007 08:15 AM

I can't believe that it only took them 90 minutes and the pool is gone!!! Yeah!!!

Now I need just a couple truckloads of fill dirt and plant some grass seed.

Tink 05-31-2007 08:59 AM

Grass seed?!?! LOL Oh what I'd give for a spot that big lacking in grass roots. LOL

Just picking on ya...
I understand most aren't the flower/gardening nuts that I am.

I wish I could send you my sod!

Janet 05-31-2007 09:46 AM

I wish you could too. I'm hoping I can find some for free, otherwise it's going to cost me.

That is so awesome - and quick! Doesn't it feel good to knock one more thing off of your to-do list? Yaay! Now you can have a garden! LOL. I would assume that the soil that used to be around the pool is pretty fertile.

I love swimming pools. They're so relaxing, even just to sit by with a frozen drink on my off days - it's my favorite thing to do! But, it's nice that I share my pool with my neighbors b/c I don't have to do the upkeep myself.

What good news! Cross it off, and write down "redo garden." But that doesn't sound too difficult. I hope you get it for free.
