Where we stayed
 

One of the most shocking and interesting things about our trip to Mexico is where we stayed in El Rosario (one of the poorest towns in Mexico!). We went to the place we were to sleep expecting to walk into the worst dump we'd ever seen, as the town was falling apart, spray painted, and just overall a huge mess...but when we drove up to our hosts' house, we were very pleasantly surprised! They were the "Bill Gates" of Mexico. lol! They had a huge house, complete with a maid and gardener!!! We slept in an incredibly nice (but short) bed and had our own full bathroom that we didn't have to share with anyone! Our headboard, as well as most other things in our room, was made of MARBLE! The house was gorgeous. These pictures don't do it justice, but it'll at least give you an idea.

Unfortunately, no. The family we stayed with was the only wealthy family in the town. Most of the others in our group didn't even get to take hot showers...
