Oh Happy Day!!!

My son is going to be sooooo surprised at Christmas. I was able to get him a Nintendo Wii with 9 games total and two controllers. My niece works at the store and I got a great deal with a two year extended warranty. I never get deals so I am sooooo happy!!!!

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO congrats  theres nothing much better then to see a kid's face when they get surprises.

I'm getting my son a laptop for Christmas, so he can sit downstairs too with us, instead of having to sit upstairs alone all evening, hes been wanting one for over a year now.
I just hope i will be strong enough to save the surprise for another 3 weeks

It sounds like you DID get a great deal especially if you got all those games with it!!! Way to go!!!!

That is really great Janet. I've played the Wii once, the bowling game. Oh it was a blast. You might find yourself having just as much fun as your son!!! ;)

That's wonderful Janet! You deserve a good deal every once in a while.

He's going to love it, and he's such a good kid - he deserves it.

Thanks Gina...I was just so surprised when she called today. I honestly never get good deals like most of my friends do....I finally did...yeah!!!!

Mandy, my son loves his laptop. I got him that last year and Gina's right. He stays in his room a lot. But if he is on the laptop, he is not allowed to have his door closed.

I know what you mean Gina. My 16 year old son is always in his room with his laptop. Sunday we put up one tree-didn't like it so Brendon and I left and bought another one-took the first one down and Brendon and Angela helped put up the new one. Later that night Bobby came out and said the tree doesn't look as big as it did last year!!! He never knew we had even left and change them.

Oh how funny Debbie!!! Kids...they are so focused on their interests...they see nothing else. My son is like that too...LOL:)

I'm anxious to play it myself. I've heard the bowling game is so fun and the tennis one too. If he don't lose the "I'm a great driver" attitude, it may end up under the tree with my name on it.

Oh he still deserves the Wii...You're just upset right now, but after a bit it will all look better. Besides, you wanted him to easily put it in the ditch for a learning experience. He got it today, LOL  Be careful of what you wish for right?

Life's crazy Janet - even crazier with teens. Hugs to you and this day you've had!! :coffee2: It'll all be ok, no worries.

judy 12-05-2007 04:10 PM

He's a good kid. Keep telling yourself that, over and over and over again!

Sheryl's right. Teens are not easy. I think God designed them to be particularly trying so that when they leave home, their parents are a little bit happy!

Janet 12-05-2007 04:21 PM

I know, and he really is a good kid. Sometimes though when I'm trying to tell him about the roads and the weather conditions...he gives me this attitude of "I know everything, I'm a teenager"..it drives me crazy.

He said this afternoon that it didn't scare him any....drat...now what do I do?

judy 12-06-2007 06:34 AM

Of course it scared him. Teenage boys have to pretend to be macho.

You should enjoy every minute with him - he's growing up and will soon be on his own. I used to tell my ex that it was better when Jessie fell on her face while she was still living with us than when she was on her own.

I do feel for you. These are very stressful years. I used to miss the 8 year old she once was.
