Where would you go?

Okay, I was just wondering....... If you were given a 1 week, all expenses paid, vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go??

If you have children, they will also pay for the most amazing, trustworthy babysitter to care for your children while you are away. If you have pets, they would provide for a first class pet spa to care for your pets while you are away. If you a caregiver for an ill family member, they bring in the best, most trusted people to care for them. No excuses not to go.

And you could take one person with you, who would you take and why?

I would go to Austrailia, Hawaii, Africa, and Europe and I would take my son. I would take my son because he's the best for one thing and because he may never get a chance like this again.

I would go to Ireland or just to Europe in general so that I could visit lots of countries. I've always wanted to go Europe...

I'd probably have to take Brendon because we both share a huge love and desire for traveling, learning about new cultures, having new experiences, etc.

I'm hoping that someday (in the semi-near future) these dreams turn into realities... :)

I'm not a traveller - can I send somebody in my place and just stay at home (alone)? I'd take a road trip up the Southeast and East Coast with my hubby. And, I'd trade my airfare for two weeks out.

I would go to Hawaii and take my youngest daughter (30), because my Mom took me there when I was 32. We had a great time!!

I would probably go to Europe. I'd spend a couple of days at the beach then I'd probably go and see some old buildings and museums. Maybe at Rome or Athens.

I would go to Italy , and see where my family came from. I love the culture and history. I would have to take my hubby because both of my kids would want to go and I would not want to pick between them....

Janet your only allowed one place....lol no cheating :)

Janet, that's a lot of places to go for one week!!! LOLOL

I'd go to New Zealand with my hubby. He's always wanted to go there, and it looks like a really interesting place!!

I should have allowed 10 days though instead of 1 week. That would be a long flight, and the jet lag is probably pretty bed.

I am NOT a good traveler... extreme motion sickness would have me laid out if I got on a boat or plane. So I'd give my week to Joel and Shannon for their honeymoon.
I'm sure they could think of somewhere beautiful to go.

Janet 02-01-2008 03:12 AM

Well maybe I just used some of that 'magic' Judy was talking about and made the week longer..lol

Scopalamine(sp?) patches are something to consider for motion sickness. I'm bad, get motion sick as a passenger in a car moving in a parking lot sometimes, but the patches work very well, even on a boat. They require a prescription, but I just call the doctors office tell them what I'm going to be doing and ask for the patch. He prescribes just enought to last for whatever I'm doing. 1 patch lasts 3 days.
