I will admit I am NOT in a good mood right now. I won't even try to pretend that I'm not unusually ornery and touchy. You all know me well enough to know better than to fall for it if I did try. LOL

So when I got a reprimand and a post removed from another site I frequent DAILY I have to tell you I was MAD. I've been accused of trying to sneak an ad onto the forums. :mad: What I posted would in no way help my bottom line in any way... but I thought maybe it could help as a marketing tip to others just starting out in dog breeding. I gave a simple idea of how to bring more potential buyers to their websites since that was a major part of my job on a different site for 7 years.
So in trying to share a tip to help others I got reprimanded.

I'm far from perfect but I have NEVER been sneaky or underhanded in that way and I am absolutely offended that it was misconstrued that way. Right now I have serious doubts that I'll ever go back to that site since if that's what they think of me, there doesn't seem to be any point.

As Katie would say "they can kiss my lilly white BLEEP!"

Tink, this is so unfair. Didn't you post some of those tips on here or I saw them somewhere. There was nothing wrong with what I saw. So sad that this happened to you when your intention was to try to be helpful.

Sometimes the old addage "no good deed goes unpunished" rings very true.

Tink, sorry this has happened. Were you able to send a PM to administration to explain (and to tell them why they were wrong...)?

Sorry, Tink! I know that you would do anything to help another person in any way you can. That's too bad that the admin from the other site didn't realize what was going on.

I of course wasn't told who had complained and called it advertising, but it was made to sound as if they had multiple people come forward. Quite seriously if that's what they believe of me, I'm done there. Arguing and reasoning wouldn't do any good because I wouldn't be talking to the people who accused me anyway. A few blatantly advertise there and nothing is said or done about it. I obviously don't have a good enough pedigree to participate with that crowd, so I'm done with them.

The few I have become close with I will stay in contact with, but it won't be on the site. I've also taken all reference to that site off my own site. There has got to be a better place to go to talk about Labradoodles... and if there isn't, maybe I'll just have to start one. I don't like cliques and sure don't belong with those who do.

Im sorry Tink this happened. What about creating your own website to talk Labradoodles?

Tink, I'm so sorry that those people were so mean to you. It's so frustrating when someone has nothing better to do than make trouble... :(

Thanks for letting me vent everyone. I know in the grand scheme of things this is SUCH small stuff... yet it's like a sliver under your fingernail; doesn't have to be big to really hurt.

You're so right Tink. I do like the idea of maybe you starting your own forum for the doggies. How cool would that be? It's nice to have a forum or a few forums that you can talk about similiar interests and learn more and more.

I totally agree with Janet. They need to be "vented on" about this. I also think your own forum about Labradoodles is something you would be wonderful with.
