Finally
 

I finally finished the books for my side business and filed my taxes! I start some classes on the 17th, I wanted to be done before they begin.

I need to get motivated and get my taxes done, lol.

It's nice to get something finished like that because it's such a weight lifted, eh? :)

My return is already in the bank! I can't believe they sent it so fast.

I also won't be able to believe how fast I'll end up spending it!

Michelle, well done! What kid of classes are you starting?

Good for you Michelle, now what ya gonna spend that refund on? I finally got mine done too. I'm thinking new flooring for my refund...it'll have to be a small room...LOLOL

I think we are going to get a dinning room table. We have had the exercise gym in its place for 8yrs.

That's so cool that you get money back on your taxes. We don't get anything back because we don't pay ahead. We have to turn our taxes in on March 1 because we're self-employed. Getting some money back would be nice though.

I know our neighbors are farmers and they said the same thing Diana. We never get back very much, but it sure beats paying. Like I said, if we get to purchase some flooring, it will have to be for a very small room..lol

Years ago we changed who did our taxes because we didn't think that the person was staying on top of things and we had to pay in big time for two years in a row. So we went to this really old lady (and I mean wrinkled and really old!!) but her mind was really sharp. Anyway, after talking to her she said that she'd get some money back for us! We walked back to the car and my husband and I both looked at each other and he asked me what I thought of her. I said that she scared me to death!!! We had her do our taxes for 2 or 3 years but, man-o-man did we sweat until the 7 years had finally gone by! To go from paying in big time to getting money back!!!! Scary!! We just knew that we were going to get audited but we never did. I think the IRS was probably scared of her too!!!!

I know a woman like that... her favorite thing is to go nose to nose with the IRS. She really enjoys it! She will get you money back when no one else can, but that isn't necessarily a good thing if you're not comfortable with her tactics!

Yep, that's exactly what she was like. One of the things that she told us was if we got called in by the IRS that she goes with us and does ALL the talking!!! It's really funny now that we're not worried about getting audited!
