I love this relationship!
A Canadian Labradoodle is scheduled to air on CNN's Larry King Live on April 2, which is World Autism Awareness Day.
See article... http://www.thespec.com/News/CanadaWorld/article/347348 Considering the large number of children being diagnosed with autism, and the fact that the dog used is the type I breed, I found this story worth sharing. This precisely what these hybrid dogs were developed to do. What a noble cause! That they make wonderful pets too is just icing on the cake. |
Tink,
That is a beautiful story, Yes indeed it is a very noble cause, it must give you great pleasure to know that your furbabies will put a smile a childs face. I'll be sure to tune in and watch on April 2nd. Sincerely, |
That is great Tink. I am sure your labradoodles have made many people feel special and happy.

I've worked with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities for many years - it always amazes me to see how they will respond to an animal.

Great article Tink! I don't know if we can get Larry King or not, never watched him before. I'll check it out.
I have three teen brothers that ride my bus in the afternoon. All three have autism. The stories the teachers tell.....anyway...I wish these boys had a animal to help them. Their parents are getting divorced and a pet or service animal just doesn't fit in their life right now. What a shame. |
