Oh my goodness....LOLOL My guess is they had to find another job...LOLOL

Chandra Amaya 05-06-2008 04:54 PM

well, i've felt like it, but never got to do those things.

DianaB 05-06-2008 10:20 PM

I've wanted to do that a time or two!! I take it that it was a "smoke free" building!!! :sidesplit:

AngieDoogles 05-07-2008 07:08 AM

LOL! That's why I'm looking for a low-stress job this summer. :D

Janet 05-07-2008 07:17 AM

I'm not sure there are any stress-free jobs Angie. I would like to hope so, but there is always someone in the crowd that makes it a little stressful in someway.

I wish I could find something else too, but don't know if it's possible at my age or that would have the great insurance I have. In my case, I would rather work alone.

That's why I said low-stress. ;):D I was a server for a long time and I also worked fast food. I just don't want to do those type jobs again cause they are pretty much guaranteed to be stressful most of the day, every day.

I hope you find what you're looking for in a job. Age shouldn't matter at all!

Janet 05-07-2008 07:56 AM

It shouldn't matter, but sometimes I'm afraid it does. I thought of going back to retail, but then I remembered how stressful that was...lol. Maybe something will catch my eye sometime.

Let's just win the lottery and split it, then we can do whatever we want! :) No stress. :D

Janet 05-07-2008 08:12 AM

What a great idea Angie!!!...LOL. I have wanted to win the lottery for so long, but I don't play it, so that kind of decreases my chances....LOLOL

Yeah, me too. I've never bought a lottery ticket. It actually only became legal here a few years ago. The lottery scholarship pays part of my tuition, so at least I'm getting something from it. LOL

DianaB 05-07-2008 08:26 AM

I don't buy lottery tickets either. If I ever happen to win it'll be because God placed a winning ticket right in front of me that nobody else claims!!! It'll be a true miracle!!!!

I hope that you can find a stree-free job too, Angie. I know from my daughter working that dealing with the public can be stressful!!!

Have you thought about babysitting some older kids for the summer? Then you'd have someone to keep you company and could get out and do some fun things with them at the same time. Little kids would be stressful but older kids can be a lot of fun if they're well behaved.

We actually talked about that possibility. I'll need to get in touch with some of our friends who are parents and see if they need a babysitter. Thanks Diana!

I know what you mean Janet. Part of my job is to handle customer complaints. I do work for a wonderful company. They have been so good to me through my illness. I guess we take the good with the bad. I am lucky to have a job that will still be there
when I am ready to come back no matter how long recovery takes. I would hate to have to go through the whole job search thing after all this.

Angie really had to deal with a lot as a server. She had to take a lot from customers and co-workers.

Marilyn 05-08-2008 04:16 AM

One of our daughters was a server at Sonic and then at Olive Garden. She got really good tips, but it was pretty gruling work and dealing with some bad people, both the public and the workers. Now she's a teller for a major bank. It's cleaner work and she likes it better than being a server, but she still has to deal with the public. This is why she turned down a promotion so she could stay in college full time and do something better.

Any job has it's own frustrations or they wouldn't call it WORK. ;)

The people in this video are a bit scary!!!
