Disturbing statistic (a little naughty)
 

Thought for the day: There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky breasts and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.

That is so sad, but SO TRUE!!!!

That is really sad. Unfortunately we, as a society, seem to think more about fun now than the future. I guess we will regret that when all the great minds of scientists and surgeons and such can no longer remember how to pass knowledge on. Maybe someday we will grow wiser.

That is very, very sad!!! We're probably spending way more on entertainment, specifically video games than we are on education, too. Don't know this to be a fact, but it sure seems like it could be.

I know Dobie's post was intended as a joke, I've seen it before, but in all honesty, we all know without any facts, that if half the money spent on really 'frivolous' items was spent on something useful...cures, homeless, the hungry and more, right here in this country, there would be no problems with any of them, or at least not near as severe.
