Around here, hubby eats everything. Texas is a community property state, so he thinks everything is his anyway. I know it doesn't make sense. Community property means everything is HALF his, but men don't have to make sense to be right. They are bigger than we are, usually. And believe me, if I hide the cookies, he finds them. He's part bloodhound. Can't hear, but he can smell everything.

That's for sure. If it's something I really like I do hide it...in my dresser, in my closet, in a cabinet they never look in. They both think that if it's here, they can have it. I was tired of really craving something, knew I had some and then went to get it and it was gone. The nerve!!!! ..LOL:mad:

I used to hide my chocolate in plain sight in the fridge. On the door shelf, in the back of the freezer, etc. They never looked around in there. "Mom, what do you have to eat in here?"

My son eats us out of house and home. (I always say it will be cheaper to send him to college than to feed him at home). Anyway, hubby will pick up cookies or something I really like and he sticks it in my underwear drawer. ( The ONLY place the kids have never thought to look). The other day I found a box of oreos that I forgot were in there. So, I took them out and put them in the snack cabinet. Kevin was very excited when he saw them. He opened the package and there were like 4 left. He couldn't understand HOW I could have eaten them all that day:D

I know how you feel!!!! My husband is diabetic and I keep him well stocked with sugar-free cookies (and they're very good too!) but he eats all of the regular cookies that I have for Jaci and the grandkids!!! I hid some cookies in the pantry and hopefull he won't find them this time!!!!

Gina 05-23-2008 04:42 PM

My husband is not the cookie monster, its my son, he is the cookie monster..lol which is ok, he saves me from eating the good stuff. But occassionly I do get mad when I crave something and he leaves the empty box...
