Computer/dog room is done!!!!
 

Well, sorta...:rolleyes:...I have it all painted (twice), but now I need to clean the carpet and put it back together. That can wait until tomorrow. I will get the rest done too....I hope!:)

Yes Janet that can wait for tomorrow. You are so good , btw what color are you painting the rooms? I have to wait till the fall my husband refuses to paint with this heat..

Well I'm painting everything a 'soft white.' I had the computer/dog room in a dark slate/blue/gray color, the living room is in a earthy brown and the family room and hall is a faux of the living room color and a cream. It looks nice and I've had compliments, but I'd rather go back to the soft white and then use other ways to add color.

Well done! I haven't even started my little painting project, so you're WAY ahead of me!

You've been busy..

Guess I spoke too soon. Since the room was painted just a dark color before, I'm going to have to paint it one more time to get a good cover. Not what I was really hoping to see this morning, but should have it done in a couple more hours..I hope. Man, I'm so ready for it to be done.

Painting over a dark color is a real challenge. When my nephew was a baby my sister and I painted his room in bright, primary colors. She sponge painted the top half red on white and painted the bottom half bright blue. I commented that it would be a bear to paint over and her comment was "that will be the next owners problem". Well, Shawn is now almost 13 and they aren't going anywhere! She just hired someone to paint his room because she knew she'd kill someone if she had to do it!!!

I will never paint dark or bright colors again. The room is all painted now and looks so nice. I had to move my computer desk out of course, so I cleaned the carpet behind and under it. Tomorrow I will move the desk back and clean the rest of the carpet. I feel like time is getting away from me, the 13th will be here before ya know it.

Only thing left to do in the computer/dog room is hang the curtains. I was going to hang the paintings, but I may hold off for awhile. I might find something I like better. The paintings were by my husbands grandmother and his aunt. The one I did hang was from a friend of the family. Her husband wanted the picture hung by his rocking chair because it reminded him of me when I was little. I'm so glad she gave it to me after his passing.

It sounds like you're about to get everything all finished up! You know that we need pictures!!!

I have everything done (painting) except the hallway and it's taped up and I'll paint it tomorrow. Then I will be done!!! Painting that is...LOL. I will still have to put the rooms back together and hang things back on the wall. I will be taking pictures as soon as I'm done for you all to see.
