Been Painting Up a Storm!!

I only have the family room (2 walls) and the hallway left to paint. I painted the living room yesterday and have the furniture where I want it. I will wait another day before I hang my wall decor up. I don't want to take any chances of something sticking to the paint.

Tomorrow afternoon, I will start taking things off the wall and out of the family room and get it painted. Hopefully I will have all the painting done by Tuesday. Yay!!! I can't wait to go to bed at night and not hurt so bad that I want to cry.

wow Janet!! You are doing amazing!!

I so wish I had your energy just for a day... I look around and think tomorrow...

Marilyn 07-31-2008 07:19 PM

Wow, Janet, you are one industrious person!!!!!!! Hope you don't suffer too much as a result!!!

Tink 07-31-2008 07:34 PM

I wish I could hire you to come do mine! LOL

I am trying to get my bathroom done... and I have gotten less than half the primer on so far. I keep getting interrupted and called away. I figure painting can wait... family often can't. All in good time I hope!

You go girl!!
I just have the office and the downstairs that needs done, but it's going to wait till fall, were having to much fun with Micah outside... one day it will be done....
Mike is suppose to take a couple days off in a couple weeks to finish putting up the doors and baseboards hopefully he has time to get started on the basement..

I am suffering Marilyn, honestly. Everything is looking so crisp and clean, but I'm going to bed in pain. My knees and lower back are hurting so bad at night. Even when I turn over I wake up in pain. I don't suffer so much once morning arrives and I get up and start moving. I'm almost done so it's worth it (somewhat...LOL) not to have to pay to have someone else paint for me. I do know that unless I get a new body, I won't ever tackle this again!

You go girl! I'm sorry you're in pain. Take it easy at the end of the day. I can't wait to see the pictures!

HALEY 08-01-2008 06:12 AM

Hey Janet, with all the extra money you saved not hiring a painter, when your done painting, i think you should treat yourself to a day out, get your hair done, buy some new clothes, you know pamper yourself for the day :)

Mandy 08-01-2008 11:15 AM

Janet, you want to come visit me? Will organize a paint party

Janet, I'm sorry to hear that you're in pain from painting. I can certainly understand the back ache and knee pain that comes from doing stuff. I just recommend taking ibuprophen while you're painting and afterwards. Also a long hot bath is required!!!!! I bet that everything looks really nice and you'll be thrilled when you're done with it!!!

Dobie 08-01-2008 02:44 PM

I hope when you are all done you treat yourself to something special - you deserve a little pampering after all the work you've done.

Tink 08-01-2008 03:27 PM

I suggest you take some of the cash you saved by doing the work yourself and go to a spa or at least get a masseuse to help with your aches and pains. You've definitely earned it!

Haley, that's a wonderful idea, but if I had the money to do all that, I'd have hired the painter....LOLOL.

I've been taking it Diana, but it really hasn't helped a whole lot. I'm almost done so I'll be fine I'm sure. I plan on painting the family room tomorrow and maybe...MAYBE the hall on Sunday. Ricky had accidently put the toe of his boot through the wall going out the door in the family room, so I had to repair the drywall there. It wasn't very big, but it was time consuming...wait for it to dry....sand it down...apply more mud....let it dry....sand it down.

Monday I have to go register Ricky for school, Wednesday take Mom to the heart Dr. so on the off days, I can put everything back where it belongs.
