... Is it cheaper to get Internet, cable and a phone than it is to get just internet and cable through Comcast? Sooo bizarre!

I know what you mean. I just think they want all your business needs so they give you a combo deal.

I live so far out in the boonies, that Comcast is my only option. I'd love to try AT&T Uverse, but it's not available here. We have house phone and cell phones through AT&T and cable TV and i-net through Comcast.

They came on saturday to install my dvr and phone. I do not have an HDTV so I just need a standard dvr box. They found out that day apparently that they do not stock them. So they put in an HD DVR box and are coming tomorrow to switch it out with a standard dvr box. What a pain in the butt!

Wow sorry your having so much trouble. We are looking into going the 3 way with Verizon. It will save us about $60.00 a month if we do.

We've talked about combining ours too but I'd have to switch to Dish Network and you'd have to pay a lot more to get the same channels that we have now so I'm dragging my feet about changing. I don't think that my husband has really checked it out well enough yet.

They came out on tuesday switched from HDDVR box to a standard dvr box since I do not have an HDTV, I got standard dvr for a year for free. Well the box died the next morning and I had to have them come out again to put in a new box and this time they put back the HDDRV box and made it work. Soooo weird how hard they made things... geezzz.... 3 trips, 3 inconviences for me and them... but finally its all working now I hope!

You think you're in the boonies? I can only get Margaretville Telephone Company's triple service! Have you ever heard of them? Of course not. They are good, but I lose Dr. Phil pretty much every other morning for a good few minutes. They are working on setting up On Demand, but don't have it yet. It is nice though to know whether I'm talking to Amy or Cindy when I call, and I always get the same service guy.

They didn't even have a first year special!
