Did a NO NO!
Ok now I know why they tell you not to vacumn until 3 months after surgery.
LOL. It's been 4 weeks and I was tired of looking at the crap on the carpet and no one was home so that's right I ran the darn sweeper. Well I'm ok. Just sore today. So from now on I will be a good girl and ask the people I live with to do it. Like my 17 year old daughter. Oh how I hate to have other people do my work for me. But I will. Just wanted to let you know how inpatient I can be and stupid. Back to the rat race on monday. I'm sure I will have a good story to tell. |
Linda...you know me and I could just kick your butt! What were you thinking girl especially since running a vaccum is one of worse things you could do!!! In just about any surgery...they tell you not to run a sweeper. Gayle...where are you???? Will you please set this girl straight????!!!!
You do what you're suppose to or you're not going to heal. My biggest fear whenever I had surgery was that I would do something to cause something that can't be fixed. So as hard as it was to sit and not do some of my housework...I did sit and let someone else take care of it. You be good to yourself and take it easy! |
Please, do not jump the gun. Take it easy, as much as it bothers you to see it, it's not worth it!!!
|
I feel for ya.. yes I know what they tell ya, but it seems like such a simple thing won't hurt us. WRONG!! There is a reason why we are told not to do certain things..
So from here on out.. do not over-do!!!! Take care of yourself and accept, heck, DEMAND help from your family!!!! The important thing here is to heal... so rest and enjoy yourself watching others do the housework... ok?? |
Sorry - I went to a basketball game (two of them) today, so I wasn't here to keep Linda in line!!! LOL :D
|
Linda just needs to be tied down...that's all there is too it.
Hope you had a great time at the game Gayle. |
:o:o:o:o:):)Thanks for the talking to. I really needed it. I'm doing fine just laying around the house more or less on my last FREE day....Being depressed cause I have to go back to work. Even though I can't do anything around here. I loved the time off. The only time I've never worked was when I was off work for 6 weeks with each one of my kids. So it's been 17 years since then. But I like having a roof over my head so I definately need to go back to work. I'm almost out of sick days too. So Thank You all.........I hope to be back on here tomorrow evening to see how everyone is doing.
|
Well GF you'd better get on here of an evening. You've spoiled us for sure. I really have enjoyed you being here more.
|
Enjoy tomorrow! At least you'll have people to talk to, and nobody will really expect you to work too hard for the first few days. Work it girl!
I have no comment on the vacuuming fiasco!!!:( |
Good luck on your first day back to work.... You will get back into the groove I am sure in a day...lol
Hey behave you don't want to hurt yourself... Come on girl.. do as the dr. tells you! |
Linda, I'm not saying anything about the vacuuming escapade since you've already been in trouble with the other girls over it! I know that it's hard to do but the doctor's do have good reason for that rule especailly. Have a great day at work today!! We'll miss you!!!
|
