God was watching over me Friday!
I went over to Jessie's house on Friday, spent the day in town with her, and was driving home on a windy country road at the speed limit, maybe a bit under. I've taken this road many times.
I took my eyes off the road to fix something on my GPS. (You can do that in NYC because the roads are all straight, although you shouldn't). My wheels ended up in the gravel on the shoulder, I couldn't stop, did a 360, and went down a hill for long enough that I thought the car might turn over. I was terrified while it was happening, and went numb after. I couldn't get out of the mud to get back to the road. Even if I had been able to, the hill was too steep to drive up. Along came John who had been driving behind me. He said he was surprised to see that I hadn't flipped over. He thought for sure I had landed in the woods. He went and got Henry with his tractor and they towed me out of there. What guardian angel sent them? God was watching over me for sure. Not a scratch on me, and my car just drove away with no visible damage. I heard a noise in the car, but I still was able to drive home. I feel like God was warning me to learn to drive these roads properly. I skidded on the gravel a few weeks ago, but stopped quickly in a field. Obviously, God felt that I needed a stronger shove and gave me one. I am so grateful for the lesson, and will take it very seriously. |
You truly do have a angel watching over you!!!
Thank God you are alright! |
OMG! Judy you did have an angel watching over you. So happy nothing happen to you. When you ponder of what could have happened that is scary.. I am so happy that you are safe...
|
How scary! I'm so glad that you are okay. Being out of control of your car is a terrifying feeling, but I'm so glad you're okay. You are also wise to take this experience and make something positive of it.

|
No more fiddling with ANYTHING in the care for you, YOUNG LADY!!! OMG! I would be so freaked out! Thanks goodness you are OK!!!!
|
Judy....your post made me cry at the thought of anything happening to you. How would we ever know?
Thank you God for taking care of Judy. She knows now to keep both hands on the wheel and eyes on the road now and she won't forget for quite some time. Love ya Judy!!! |
Judy, I'm so glad that you and your car are in good shape! It sounds like God certainly had His hand on you!! It does take a while to get used to driving on country roads because they are different than highways and city streets. I'd say "Lesson learned!!"
|
Thank God your all right. I can't imagine what you were going though. So glad your ok and didn't get hurt. Like Janet said how would we know if anything had happened to you. Please be careful.
|
Yes, you did have an Angel watching over you. So thankful that you are o.k.
|
OH, Judy, that had to be a frightening experience!! Soooo glad that you and your car are okay, and that there were people there who could help. We know you will be careful out there.
|
Not to worry - I have learned my lesson! Yesterday I started fussing with my GPS again - stopped and pulled over to do it!
If anything ever happens to me, or to any of us, I think it might be best to assume we're in heaven, which is such a wonderful place, with God, and watching over the rest of us. |
Judy, after your ride down the hill and being kind of tossed around..are you sore at all? I hope you're doing great after that ride!!!
