A Good Idea

When doing yourChristmascards this year, take one card and send it to this address. If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these wonderful special people who have sacrificed so much would get.

When you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please include the following:

A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
Washington,D.C. 20307-5001

YES! That is a GREAT idea!!!

Judy, this is a very thoughtful idea, but please check the link. The cards will not be accepted. Instead, they suggest making a donation. They also have a link to another site about sending cards. I did not click on the link, so don't know where it goes.

Here's a link to the Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heros Program.

It explains how to reach out and help.

Thanks for checking Snopes Marilyn and for the link that works!

I'm going to send cards.

I got that e-mail a couple of days ago. Thanks for letting me know about what snopes says. I wish that people would check that before they send some e-mails on.

I did this last year, and it was returned. I was so upset.
It seems they will not accept them, unless they are addressed to a particular soldier.

I just got that email today.
Wonderful idea.
