Shadow and Tiger

These little girls have had a tough life. They were abandoned on the side of the road at just 3 weeks old. Brendon and I had originally planned to keep their brother, Jack, but we lost him to an infection. It really broke our hearts.

Jack, Shadow, and Tiger

Since then, we've decided that we just couldn't part with the girls (Shadow and Tiger). They have cost us a fortune in vet bills, antibiotics, lyme dyp for ringworm, flea treatment, vitamins to keep them healthy (as a precaution after losing Jack), and treatment for ear mites, but they are worth every penny and we are happy that we get the opportunity to provide them with a safe and loving home. The puppies weren't so sure about them at first, but now they are usually either ambivalent or wanting to play with them. We're lucky that there were no problems adjusting!

Here they are a few weeks ago:

And here they are last night playing with a Christmas toy my mom gave them:

They do grow up fast...and we are proud parents! :) They definitely keep us laughing. We were worried for a while that they had feline AIDS or Leukemia. The last time we were at the vet, she said they look SO healthy that she doesn't think it's likely anymore and that we shouldn't even test for it unless they get sick. It was quite a relief!

Good to see you too! ;)

Cute Kittens!! I'm surprised that you have 2 cats since you have the two dogs! I guess that you have a very busy household now!!!

I have 2 beautiful full grown MALE cats that you can have if you just say the word!! My husband is certainly ready to get rid of them!!! He really will if they start marking his pickup this next spring. YUCK!!!

Cute videos!!!

The funny thing is...we both thought we hated cats! We are/were dog people...but when you bottle feed these little ones and take constant care of them and worry for their safety day after day, you really become attached. They were just so young to be away from their mom.

Anyway, they have stolen our hearts!

Great to see you here Angie! Merry Christmas to you, Brendon and ALL the animals.

The kittens are great. They are lucky little cats that you got them. How are Marty and Maddy doing with them? Do they play together?

I would love a couple of cats, but Annie is too young and I'm loving babying her right now.

Marty and Madeline love them...unless they sneak up too quietly, then they get a little startled and growl a bit. Other than that, no problems at all. They do play together sometimes, but I never seem to have my camera at the right moment and when I go to get it, they stop playing to follow me. :(

How old is Annie? Is she a yorkie? I'm going to your profile to see if there are any pics. ;)

There are some pix of Annie on here. She's not on my avatar because my computer was going and I didn't remember how to do it on Photoshop. I've been planning to change my avatar a bit.

Annie is an almost 7 month old, tiny little Yorkie girl. I got her right after I lost my Gracie. She is just precious. I am so in love with her.

She is just big enough that I could get her a harness and leash from Chattiesmom.
She was still wearing the tiny one that I had from when Gracie was a tiny puppy.
Annie's is now hot pink with crystals and flowers on the harness and leash. Now, I either need a matching collar, or one that looks good with her new stuff.

I don't know what she weighs. Maybe she's 4 pounds - she was 3.25 lbs a couple of months ago.

I'll post some pictures - I haven't installed my Canon stuff in here yet.

I can't wait to see the pics Judy! I bet she is the cutest little girl!

The kittens are so cute! I've always liked cats - better than dogs - till we got the yorkies. Man o man! I don't know what it is about a yorkie - they just melt my heart - and I have NEVER been a dog person!!! (but I guess I am now)

Anyway, we kept my daughter's cat for a while and she got along good with Rex and Rowdy, but they just could not stop themselves from chasing her on occasion. They didn't chase her all the time, just occasionally! I guess it was when that terrier in them broke free!

Angie, your cats are beautiful!!! I've had cats and/or dogs all my life. I love both, but hubby does not like cats, so we compromised on yorkies a few years ago. Watching yours makes me want one again. I was always partial to Siamese and have had two, Simon and Samantha.
