I interviewed for an ICU position...
I interviewed for an ICU position as a new graduated (RN). I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do after graduation but this particular unit jumped out at me. :) They are going to let me know on Tuesday or Wednesday. :)

Will keep fingers crossed for you!!!! Congratulations on your RN!!!! We have a daughter who has applied to nursing school & is waiting to find out if she's in or not.

Hi Kimberly! My first job was in the Recovery Room, but I only worked there a couple of months and was asked to transfer to ICU. I loved it - it was a great job!!!
Good luck! |
Well I'm sure going to keep my fingers crossed for you Kimberly. Oh how I wish I could start my life over sometimes at college age. I would sure do things differently. Let us know if you get the position! Good luck!!!

Good luck, hope you get the job! I wanted to be a nurse, but got married and had kids instead.
|
Good luck Kimberly! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. :)

Thank you. :) I can't wait to find out. :)
My sister is an L&D nurse and my other sister will be starting nursing school, so I guess it runs in the family. It was a long wrong and I'm excited to see how that hard work in action. :) |
**it was a long road and I am excited to see all that hard work in action.***
(sorry it wouldn't let me edit) |
Good luck Kimberly!!! Think postive! I am sure you will get the job. :)
|
I was offered the position but I wouldn't be starting until summer and sadly I can't wait that long, so time to fill out more apps. :) Its nice to know I was wanted though. Hehe...:D
|
That's great that it was offered to you. With the economy the way it is, I hope it hasn't affected the nursing profession has it has others. It might have been good to accept it that way you know you have a position for the summer. I don't know anything about nursing positions, but I hope you find what you're looking for.

I was thinking the same thing but honestly I can't wait that long. You do not have to sign a contract and recently this same hospital has actually offered jobs to a person and then retracted the bid once they were ready to sign (not a contract to stay on but to accept the job). I can't take a chance of stay where I am (I am not from this area) for a few more months and then nothing happening. I called them back and talk with them, I'm definately not burning any bridges. So we will see...
I know many of the NA and other positions are on a hiring freeze, but I am not sure who else. |
