Octuplets.....
 

I've been reading about the octuplets that were born. Eight babies!!! Can you imagine!!! Today I read another article that said that the mother already had 6 children!!! Why would she want to take fertility treatments if she already had 6 children?! Then to top it off.....she and her children live with her parents!! Fourteen children!!!!! I will say that I'm glad that she chose not to eliminate any of them but some doctor should have put a stop to this before she got pregnant.

I've been following that story too. I don't understand why she did that or why a Dr. would. I thought they had ethics about this sort of thing and were trying to keep multiple births to no more than 3. Not that it should be regulated or anything like that, but it's so dangerous to the mother AND to the babies. I'm glad that so far they are thriving.

I'm glad that they're thriving too. It just doesn't make sense that this woman needed fertility treatments in the first place. She already had 6 children. I thought that fertility treatments were for people who had trouble getting pregnant. And where is the father? There was no mention of him in the article.

People in my office were talking about her six other kids this morning. Obviously she has money if she could afford the fertility treatments, but she had better have a lot of money to afford FOURTEEN kids!!! My roommate has triplets for siblings and I know it was financially tough on her family to have 3 kids going through diapers at the same time. It's definitely a weird situation for this octuplets woman. I think a lot of people are curious to know the whole story!

This is so crazy. She needs her head examined. TOO LATE NOW!!!!
I guess they are from Irag, her Father went back there to make money to support them.

I'm with you on this Diana....where's the father? Surely a Dr. wouldn't do this with a woman with 6 kids and no husband? Does she have one?

I just have to say that I think the doctors were VERY irresponsible when they implanted 8 embryos!! Especially if the family was struggling to survive as it is with the 6 children they have at home!! I just don't understand what they were thinking! Of course the children are the ones that will suffer. I also read somewhere she wants to nurse all of the babies!!!:eek: How on earth she is going to do that I have no idea! I just can't imagine carrying that many babies but thank goodness the babies are doing ok.

I had read that article earlier. She's had fertility treatments to conceive all of them!! And she's not married!!!! I think that the medical establishment needs to take a look at their practices on this. This is just plain rediculious!!!! Fourteen kids all under the age of seven!!!!!

It also says in the article that she got paid for the fertility treatments. Odd, don't you think? I'm sorry to be thinking this, but maybe she was plannng to sell the babies. That's a terrible thing to think about somebody, so God, please forgive me.

On the other hand, according to her mother, she's a complete wacko. Whatever is going on there, it's all very suspicious.

This morning the news is saying that the mother has hired a publicist and is asking for money.

I heard on the news this morning that the Grandmother is going to leave, her daughter is to obsessed about having kids. Don't blame her, I would leave too.

This is so irresponsible for all parties. The poor children. It was hard enough to work and give the needed attention to two. There is no way she, even if she were married could handle this many children below the age of 8. It's insane!!

Honestly, I couldn't care less about how many babies anybody has AS LONG AS THEY CAN CARE FOR THEM. If these news reports are true, these are our babies because we are the ones supporting them. Nobody called me to ask if I wanted 8 more babies to support!
