Tricksie/skin rash advise

1 Attachment(s)
She started scratching yesterday, I found ONE flea and noticed that she had a rash and it moves to different spots. It is not hives. The groomer was here today and she said it was a rash. I gave her 1/4teas. of Benedryl this morning and it helped a little. I checked out some sites on the internet and it said to use neosporin but I am afraid that she might lick it.
I have changed nothing in her diet or grooming products.
HELP!!!

hmmm not sure what it could be. you can use the neosporin or if it itches the anit itch cream, i have used both on my dogs and if they lick it it shouldn't hurt them. if you have a onsie you could put that on her so she can't reach it. if it continues i would take her to the vet.

Good advice Lynne. I've not seen anything like that before so I'm not much help....sorry. Hope it goes away soon.

Reuger had flea dermatitis and I know that he turned red like that only I didn't notice it in rings like that. There is something in the saliva of fleas that they can be allergic to. Reuger is doing much, much better but about every four days I still have to give him half of a children's benedryl. Poor baby!

I would give her the Benedryl and also put some hydrocortisone cream on it as well. I hope it gets better soon.

Diana, I think that is what is wrong. The rash is gone on the tummy but she scratched her shoulders and there were sores, found one tiny flea inbedded in one.
I have been giving her 1/4 teas. of children's benedryl twice a day and putting hydrocortison cream on them.
I say on YT to put a drop of olive oil in her food.
Any other suggestions?
