Gettins Old Sucks...lol
Boy I tell ya ladies....I think I'm falling apart. For two days now...my right arm feels like it has a pinched nerve or something...very painful at times. I can't sit at my other computer because of the way I have to hold my arm so I have to sit in the chair with my laptop. I can drive just fine, but when I'm sitting at the elementary school waiting for them to call for kids, it is hard to get that arm comfortable.
I don't have any idea what I could have done to cause this. I can't tell if it's in my elbow, shoulder or somewhere in-between. I sure hope it stops soon. Seems like everytime I turn around I have a new ache somewhere. Someone make it stop!!!!! |
awww Janet i wish i could help you, maybe you should make an appointment with your doctor, just to get it checked out, it sucks to be in pain....
|
That's how I felt last year with all the stuff I was going through - FALLING APART. And, I'm not much better, only complaining less.
I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON! |
Thanks ladies! I remember that thread Sandy....LOLOL. Now it's my turn I think. I complain, but it doesn't seem to help really. Your foot is all better now isn't it?

Hubby went to his doc last week, has tennis elbow (tendonitis). His symptoms are similar to yours.
Foot Doc said the break has attracted arthritis, so I'm still hobbling around, taking Advil like crazy. Med Doc doubled the BP meds and it's still not working, staying 140s/90s, so I go back next week to try something else. |
Sorry, Janet. I had a year, about 2001, where I felt like I was falling apart. I was in the hospital three times. Once for anxiety and blood pressure, once with pneumonia, and another time for surgery. It was awful!!
You may have a little bit of inflamation setting in for some reason. Take some ibuprophen for a while and see if it helps. It's not fun getting older. |
If the pain is about right at the deltoid muscle (where you get a shot in the arm), it may be your rotator cuff. Stand with your arm hanging down by you side (fingers pointed down to feet). Now, bend the arm at the elbow without lifting it at the shoulder. Now raise your elbow (straight out away from your body) so that it is level with your shoulder.
Do you feel pain in that part of your arm where you would get a shot? If so, it could be your rotator cuff that is impinged. Have you pulled anything heavy in the past few days/weeks? Rotator cuff impingments do not show up sometimes till weeks after the initial injury. Often rotator cuffs hurt at night when you are in bed or just when you are sitting doing nothing - a sort of dull ache. This may not be it at all, but it is an easy way to check for it. |
Janet i got the answer!!
We need to go get drunk!!! Believe me ,you won't feel any pain !!!!! ;);););) |
I hope it is not her rotary cuff, that is painful.
Yes, maybe we need to get drunk and forget the pains for awhile. I have had to go back on Vicodin, only take one every day or so when I can live with the pain any longer. Getting old is not fun. |

It would take a while to get there from FL. Thanks for the invitation.
Give that baby a hug for me and tell his Daddy to take of him and the house while you relax. |
I know how you feel Janet.
Went back to work after 6 weeks of lay-off last week.. gotta say they are kicking my butt. I am sore every day... Thinking about robbing a bank.. getting too old to work anymore! My body is just not up to it.. Haley, I am with ya! I was so sore and stiff today when I got home, I put in a CD (Leona Smith) and made a drink... then on the computer for a hour before I start laundry and dinner.. |
