The Guys Left At 7:00 AM
 

They are headed up north to Pokagan State Park with the Scouts. It's a 3 hour drive. They go every year to ski and do whatever Scouts do on the cold campouts. I'm glad I'm home where it's warm with the doggies. I have plenty to do while they're gone...I just hope I stay focused and get it done.

I wish Harold would take a few trips. He has quit hunting and his company doesn't travel much lately, so he's home almost every night - unless his Mommy calls him to come do something for her and that's only a 1.5 hour drive.

Your Boy Scout group is a really active one!! It seems like they do a lot of things there. I don't hear much about our troups here but I don't think that they're as active. Enjoy your time alone with the Troops!!

This troop is one of the more active ones in the district. They always have something going on and it's so good for the boys. That reminds me....I need to figure out how to post the pics of the Eagle Scout ceremony. I have them on Photobucket.

I am. So far it's 5:34 PM. Been on the computer...watched some TV, did some laundry, laid on the couch, played on the computer, ate lunch, cleaned the kitchen up and haven't even gotten dressed yet. Gonna go take me a shower and then play on the computer and watch some TV and eat some Pizza Rolls....lol. I love slow easy going days.

Yes...they go there every year. I made a mistake though...they don't go to ski, they go for the toboggan runs. Do you live in Indiana Shada? 2tiredmom (Linda)lives in or near Angola.


Still haven't been to a wine tasting place yet to know what kind I'd like Gina. So I had Pizza Rolls and a Bud Light....lol. I watched a little TV and then went to bed. I always feel so refreshed having a weekend to myself.

Marilyn, it really helps me refresh. I mean I wouldn't want to be by myself all the time, but I really need it once in awhile. Just gives me a chance to reflect, enjoy, cry or laugh or just anything I want without worrying what the guys think. I've done so many little things this weekend and haven't even left the house.

I enjoy time alone too. Gary and I used to work different shifts, me days, his evenings, so we only saw each other on weekends - that was OK, but not ideal. He and his buds would often go hunting or fishing for the weekend and I had LOTS of time along. Then after he got sick he was home all the time - but still occasionally went out to the hunting lease with his best friend. Since his friend died last spring, he has hardly been gone at all, and I do miss my alone time. Like you Janet, I like/need that time for myself - doesn't matter what I do - it just seems refreshing!

Btw, I have a friend whose son is a scout and his troop is ALWAYS going somewhere and doing something!!! It's so interesting to hear all about his scouting events, since I didn't have any boys!
