This is not good!

Our weekly forecast is Rain/tstorms for Saturday to Thursday.

We have had 14 days of rain since the beginning of June, and a lot of the rest were cloudy.

So wish you could send it here!!!! We're literally drying to a crisp. It's supposed to be 100 today with a heat index of 110 and plentiful sunshine. Only 5 inches of rain so far this year.

Yes, we live in south Texas, and yes, it gets hot here, but we are setting records for this time of year. I remember a day when it hit 111 a few years ago, but that was in early September. Late August and early September is our hottest time. June is usually pretty mild and we generally have quite a bit of rain in May each year. This year is totally different.

Judy, I'm just going to ignore your rain post - I cannot BELIEVE that the northeast is having so much rain and we are in a severe drought in Texas - especially central Texas. It's just not FAIR.

I know, I know, life isn't fair - but I'd like to have just a little bit of that rain!!!

Make that Cental and South Texas, Gayle. It's horrible!!! Maybe we are headed for the dust bowl days again.

It's still hot here today, but the humidity is not near as bad as it has been the last few days.

If you southerners could just get the downpour we just had, your drought problems would have been somewhat alleviated!

I'll collect some rain and mail it down to all of you.;)

This heat is very unusual for June. We usually don't get this hot until the middle to end of July. I sure hope this doesn't continue for the whole summer. It's too hard on the crops.
