Pain in arm
I have had this pain in my left arm for over two months. I am not one to complain but it wont go away!!!! It started two mts. ago I was in a store trying on a top and when I went to remove my top my arm was bothering me as I lifted it up. I started to pay attention and its the muscle above the elbow. I waited awhile and when to the dr. and she told me to take motrin for 10 days 1800 mg. I hate taking motrin for to long afraid it may bother my stomach.
I havent done any strenous excerise trust me, the only thing I could think of you know me with my dental implants this past year. The last implants I had put in were in August, and when you have them put in you can't sleep on that side of your face. So yes I was sleeping on my arm. Maybe I crushed a nerve or something.. Well another mt. goes by and I still am not feeling better , the mortrin is over and the inflammation and pain is still there. I called the dr. and she said to go see an ortho being its chronic , so I am due to go this Friday. I spoke with others and they say it says like the rotar cuff you don't neccessary feel it in the shoulder. Lately the pain is getting to me even when I put a jacket and have to move my arm I do feel the muscle tightening. Thats what I feel.. Has anyone experienced this before,? I know Donna is having problems to and she told me on FB that she was going for a steroid shot today... |
Oh Gina...so sorry about your arm pain. Mine started hurting like that about 3 years ago. I finally went to the ortho dr. they ran a series of tests and I ended up having to have surgery on my arm. It would wake me up at night like my whole arm was asleep or something. They said it was called cubital tunnel syndrome. Had never heard of it. Please keep us posted.

I hope you find the answers to your problem, and there is an easy fix!

Gina...I think someone else had that concern.....maybe Gayle??
Yes it was Gayle.... here's a link: http://www.4womentalk.com/forums/sho...t=rotator+cuff |
Gina, I hope that it's not anything serious. It can be a lot of different things. Keep us posted on what you find out. Hugs.

Hi Gina,
If it is the muscle just right above the elbow, it is probably not the rotator cuff. But if it is the muscle just below the top of the shoulder (the deltoid muscle), the upper outer muscle on the top of the arm, then it probably is the rotator cuff. |
Gina, just wanted to wish you well, and that it's an easy fix!!!
