My daughter's Della

I'm keeping my daughter's dog Della. She's a Brussels Griffon. I posted a picture of her as a puppy (I'll repost here) and now she's almost a year old. She is the sweetest little girl - a little odd looking but as sweet a baby as you will find. She follows me everywhere, I have on capris and when I am walking I can feel her nose hitting the back of my calves! LOL!

The first picture is the day they brought her home, I think she was 4 months old. The other pics were taken today.

How nice that Della got to stay with Grandma!!! I think Brussels Griffon are odd looking too, but still cute, ya know? I've heard they make wonderful pets. That's so funny you mentioned feeling a nose on your leg....I get that everyday....LOL.

I remember you posting about her as a puppy. How sweet that she gets to visit with Gramma Gayle!! She's sooo cute!! How does Rex and Rowdy like her?
I'm like Janet........I get hit on the backs of my calves everyday too lol. That is Lucy's thing when she wants out:rolleyes:
Have fun today with the grand puppy:D:p

LOL! Wet noses on the backs of our legs! My boys follow me around, but not so close their nose hits my legs!

The boys don't like her very much and it is because she is still so hyper. She jumps around so much and that irritates them. They just growl her and she stops for about 5 seconds. They don't really dislike her, they just don't want her jumping all over them. They also don't really like her sitting in our laps either! LOL!

Janet 04-18-2010 12:44 PM

Now Gayle...those boys have the laps broke in and they don't want no girl coming in and messing things up....lol

paula1961 04-18-2010 02:19 PM

That's right Janet!!:D They don't wanna share their Mommy and Daddy with no stinkin' hyper girl! LOL!

She's really cute, Gayle!

Oh Gayle, how can you resist that precious little face, I don't think I've ever seen a Brussels Griffon before, she is adorable.

Emma is cute as a button and it looks as though they are best buddies in that picture of them from last year.

I've never seen this kind of dog before!! Della is sure cute though!!! It's funny but I get the noses on the back of my legs too!! Must be a yorkie trait!!!! How nice that you get to doggie-sit but I can understand the boys not liking her being around and sitting in "their" laps!!!! Thanks for the pictures!!!

Awwww! The baby! She sure is a cutie, and sounds like she's a little lovey. The boys will get used to it (more or less).

Here's the latest picture of Della - she's all grown up now. She's a Brussels Griffon.

Gayle..she has such a sweet face. I've always liked Brussels Griffon and have heard they have the best temperment. Are your boys glad to see her now when she visits?

gja1000 01-21-2011 05:56 AM

No, the boys would just as soon she never came over. She is a little too wild for them. Even though she's over a year old, she still acts crazy sometimes.

You are right, she has the absolute sweetest personality. She LOVES me and when I come over she is just ecstatic and stays with me the whole time I am there. My daughter will yell at Della, "your mimi is here, your mimi is here" and she just gets beside herself! LOL!!!

Blueyes 01-21-2011 10:22 AM

That's so funny! She's really cute, in an ugly sort of way:D:p
