Prayers Needed
 

I have a friend who is 63 yrs old and is undergoing triple bypass surgery as I am writing this. I will explain later what happened. She is in bad shape and needs all the prayers that she get can that she will make it through this and be ok.. Please say a prayer for her .

The surgery was cancelled this morning due to a infection that she has , they postponed it till Thursday. Here is the story...

This is my son's ex g/f mom , if you remember he broke off with her last June. During the year I became friendly with her mom due to selling her mil home and she recently referred her best friend to me so we have been talking on and off.

Two weeks ago she took off from school she is a teacher and is thinking of retiring in June. Anyway she was sick supposely she thought she was coming down with a cold. Her dr. gave her antibodics and never heard congestion in her chest. He never picked up on it. She was having heart failure I guess all along. Make a long story short she went to the hospital because she was having problems breathing..This was after she was home for two weeks from work. Her daughter mentioned on FB that her mom had congestive heart failure so I went to visit her last week. She looked pretty good and she said that she had a pneumonia that her daughter misunderstood.

Well her daughter did not misunderstand , she was to be transferred to another hospital and have a catherization done.. Fast foward to today, in the course of them transferring her she had congestive heart failure again and they found that she needs a triple bypass along with value replacements, her heart function is at 25 percent, and to boot she caught a infection in her blood . This is why they couldnt operate on her this morning. She has been on antibodics and my son's ex said they prepped her this morning and never told the family that she was not being operated on. I feel bad for my son's ex she is the only child and she is so frightened for her mom rightfully so. She calls me and I try to comfort her as best as I can, it is heart breaking.. She says that they put her mom back on a respirator for her blood level is low . So please keep her in your prayers, I hope they kill this infection and she can have the surgery on Thursday.

Oh my goodness, that sounds bad! No wonder she was feeling so sick. I hope they can fix her up. It's a miracle that she hasn't had a heart attack. Wow. Will be praying for her.

That sounds so horrible. To only have 25% function has got to be so scary too. I'll keep your friend in my prayers Gina.

Thank you girls , she can use all the prayers.. they are suppose to operate tomorrow.. I don't know if the fever broke or not.. Will keep you posted.

Oh dear, I hope things go well with the surgery. My husband had open heat surgery and his heart function was 25 percent and he did fine. He didn't have an infection though. I feel that the infection is cleared up or they wouldn't do the surgery. She will likely have to have more heart surgery to fix the valves. She will have a long recovery. Keep us posted.

Oh my! I feel so bad for her and her daughter! I will be praying for sure.
