I shouldn't do this, but oh well........here is a picture of me all bundled up in Gary's down coat, and beaver hat. This was my garb week before last when it was down to 15 degrees here and I had to go out and check the faucets and be sure they were still dripping.

Gary got this beaver hat in Alaska - actually he had it specially made. It is the kind with the ear flaps that tie up, but of course, I had them down over my ears. LOL! I don't have a really warm coat, that's why I had his down coat on.

Anyway, I sure look like a dork - but thought you all would get a kick out of my dorky way of trying to stay warm. Oh, and I'm sure I had gloves on too, when I went out - don't know why I didn't have them on in the pic!

You just look like a lot of people up here trying to stay warm......well, except for the beaver cap!!! I'm sure that down there you don't see too many people dressed like that!! I can't believe that you don't have a nice warm coat.....but then again, you probably don't need it but once in a while!!!

I think you look very chic...... :) At least you're warm. I haven't really worn a coat all winter. I get so hot that I usually take a coat, but where a hooded zip-up sweatshirt.

Diana, I used to have a down coat but it was about 25 years old and the zipper broke. You are right, you only need a warm coat about 3 days a year down here. I probably will get another down coat sometime.

CUTE!!!!!!! That was last week folks, and now for the next several days it will be 75:eek: I don't have a warm coat either, Gayle:rolleyes:

Yes, it will be 75 for the next few days. I was sweating yesterday planting my blackberries. Crazy!

I have 3 down coats, 3 pair of snow boots and 2 pairs of gloves. Because of the constant snow around, and mud of course, all of them immediately get dirty as soon as I walk out the door! Talk about dorky!
