Baby Xander

Please say prayers for my new grandson Xander. He has been tested for downs syndrome. They won't know for about two weeks. Seems like a long time for test results to me but that's what the dr told my son and his wife. She was tested for this while she was pregnant and the test came back negative but because of some of his features, he was tested. I pray that it is negative but his Mom told me that she saw it in him when they handed him to her after his birth. He is such a precious "gift from Heaven". I appreciate your prayers and I will keep you updated.

Sending positive energy and thoughts.

My baby sisters test came positive and when she was born she had some traits but not all. But she's a normal kid a little slow but that runs in the family  I do hope they don't find that extra chromosome.

Either way I'm sure that baby will give your family lots of love.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this Paula. I hope the test comes back negative and even if it is positive, Jessica's message is encouraging.

I'm sorry to hear this........it's just another thing to worry about. Two weeks does seem like a long time to wait for the test.

My grandmother's youngest sister had Down's Syndrome and I remember her being such a sweet and gentle person. No matter what you find out this baby will have lots of love and support!!! You'll all be in my prayers.

Thank you Diana. I don't see why it takes that long to get back the results. But then I don't have any idea how they determine the results. No matter the outcome...he will be surrounded by lots of love.

Prayers for Baby Xander and all of you who love him.

I had an older cousin with Down's and I loved her so much! She was so sweet and loving. I was younger than her, and used to get so excited when we went to visit her family. I also have a friend with a little girl with Down's Syndrome. Her Mom home schools her kids, and it is a lot of work to meet her special needs, but Lori considers her to be such a gift! The little one also has a great sense of humor!

Either way, Baby Xander is a blessing!

I've been waiting too. Paula, you need to let us know what the results of Xander's test were!!
